@@dreoneful I haven’t stopped, just slowed down. Just got back from visiting ULURU in Australia. Was headed to New Zealand but COVID made us turn around and come back to the STATES. And that’s with bilateral hip replacements and aortic valve replacement surgery. So maybe slower but definitely not stopped. Next stop is ZION NATIONAL PARK. After that on to South Water Caye off the coast of Belize to snorkel the largest reef in the world except for Great Barrier Reef off Australia which we snorkeled recently from Lizard Island. But thanks for your concern. Peace.

Also, touch the alternator when the engine is cold. If the alternator is warm to the touch, there's no doubt the the current is flowing when the engine is not running.

Boat on a boat, here in Michigan we have 2 large cross lake ferrys, one is a classic Coal fired Steamship, use to haul train cars across Lake Michigan, from Ludington MI to Manitowac WI, the SS Badger, and a newer ferry from Muskegon MI to Milwaukee WI. The Badger is my favorite, 410 foot Steam ship built in 1953,
@felixrodriguez46263 жыл бұрын
Hello guys, I've been following you for a couple of years, and I love your videos and adventures. If I am correct, you may have an alternator problem. What happens is that there is a diode inside the alternator that is not functioning, and therefor the current from the battery flows the wrong way when the engine is turned off, discharging the battery. The easy way to confirm this condition is to measure your battery voltage hours after the engine if turned off, and before trying to start it. If your voltage is less than 12 V. in each battery, have the alternator checked and replaced if this is in fact the problem. Hope this info is useful for you guys. Love you all three!

Welcome to Corsair trimaran sailing. My wife and I have had a Dash 750 since 2011. We sail it often from April through October. I've enjoyed your 880 videos. A larger and more complex boat than our 750. A few comments that you might already know, but just in case: 1) Get rid of the dangerous trailer winch, which can free wheel if you're not careful, and get a self locking worm drive winch instead. We turn our worm drive winch with a cordless drill and socket. Works great, much safer, and there is always the handle if you need it. 2) Each time you sail, talk with each other about the "safe out" direction to steer if you feel the boat is overpowered. While sailing upwind, turn up into the wind to de-power. While sailing abeam or downwind on a reach, turn downwind to de-power. 3) Always have the sheet of the largest sail in use in your hand, so you can quickly release it if you're hit by a gust or wind shear. Stay safe out there!

Spent the summer of 2000 taking that Ferry from New London to Orient Point visiting my girlfriend(now wife). The Sea Jet during the summer is fun as well, grab a beer and head to the deck for a 30 min ride. We took the Port Jeff to Bridgeport one time and the swells were huge. We were one of the first cars so we were on front open deck. Truck was Saltwater mess and it was a bit scary.

Some diesels require you heat up the glow plugs before turning the engine. This is done by not turning the ignition all the way to engage the starter for a few minutes. The two of you are going to get fast at trailering and un-trailering that boat. It is great you don’t need a gin pole to step that mast (J24 days) because that process sucks time and sucks some of the fun out of traveling to different regattas.
@Lifes-Adventures3 жыл бұрын
Hi guys! I had a trailerable sailboat and found it was a lot of work setting up and taking down in one day. We always scheduled our trips for two days. I tried as fast as I could and it always took an hour to setup & take down... fair winds.

I remember when that ferry was first put in service for Cross Sound Ferry... Having dragged a trailer or two on those boats, the cost is brutal, but the bridge tolls are also ridiculous! when it is heavy seas, thay strap your camper to the wall so it doesn't slam...

Saying all that this channel usually pops up in my up next list, probably because it's one of the bigger channels i'm subscribed to, hope you get to watch them more often 🤞🏻

@@kwarts Ohhh, you ment Hnefatafl? I don't know where you get Iceland from since the game was "invented" before Iceland was even discovered. Anecdote: in modern Norwegian we use two word for hand - "hand" and "neve". I'm cannot dive into any form of linguistic analysis as I'm not qualified, but the first - hand - is similar to hand in English, and the second one - neve - is just a modern form of hnefa. Hnefa and neve are pronounced pretty much the same way, and Neil did a good attempt on this Old Norse. Maybe he IS a Viking?
