Best of luck with your move! A fresh start sounds like the right move, and California is a rough place to live these days. Just remember not to vote for the same kind of government in Texas that turned Cali into a hell hole. Keep Texas Red. :)

@@77blackpearl Glad you found a job that pays enough to afford the high cost of living in cities and suburbs of Dallas, Houston, and Austin. I just couldn’t take that risk of having no jobs for six months and living off my savings account unless I’m rich or won the lottery lol. I have to make sure I have a job in place before I moved anywhere and maintain my savings account in case emergency situations happen such as being laid off from a job or health issues. I’m sorry you lost your job and marriage in California and hopes things are going better for you. There’s always light at the end of the tunnel.

How can I get an apartment without a job though? Apartment buildings won't let me rent although I have much more money saved than I'd need for a few months (I even explained that I would be selling my current home after I move, which would give me much more money in savings), they say I need a job. Jobs don't pay much attention to me because they probably assume "he's not even in Texas"...

Just found this. I’m a Canadian and small business owner who is aggressively researching a move to the great state of Texas for obvious reasons. In addition to my current business I am a Realtor of 13 years. I’d be able to move into the country with a sustainable sum of money but obviously would need to work. I don’t know anyone in Texas at all but I’m not afraid of setting down new roots with my wife and young son. Not really sure what I’m even asking here but appreciate your video and will be scraping your channel for more information

That's exactly what I'm wondering cause jobs want you to have a local address and/or come in for interviews. I've done some research but imo the most helpful info I've gotten is to remove your current address from your resume and replace it with "relocating to Dallas, Texas" or whatever area you're moving to

Good thing my career field has readily available jobs since I got a cdl. But I am gonna look for a local gig and go regional or otr after month 3 with no luck finding a local gig. Even though I plan on having enough money to support us beyond the 3 months if I wanted too. but just gonna get my life going after 3 months. I plan on moving mid 2023 and mid 2024 time frame, plenty of time to stack the cash. But I see where you coming from. If your gonna rent with no job but you gonna have to give up something like cash you made. They will rent without a job just gonna pay the whole lease up front.

Examples of this that I just talked about Todd is. Jobs out in Grand prairie are started to hit them hard and there now just realizing that as soon as they're getting employees there most of them are quitting within a week or day of two depending on the work that they're assigning people to do. Most of the people will work hard for there companies and will not compensate for them. Therefore that's the reason why most of them quitting so fast after they see how much of the work that they do at the warehouses. But employers don't want to up in their pay for the work they have did. People that really care about their job have stood up to some of the issues that is going on in the workplace. An employers doesn't want to hear the truth when the truth is hitting them in their face and going out the door. One company in particular I don't want to disclose that name on here. Doesn't like the truth that their employees stand up for something after they see a hardworker that lasted so long in the company now they want to let them go. Cause they don't want a conversate more benefits for them. But I just have to say karma is going to hit them right where it hurts in the Long haul.
@TheBurnonme3 жыл бұрын
My biggest question to Dallas Texas is does the State of Texas really listens to there employees. At the most employees will stand up to them over the overly work load that they giving employees for them to keep them around and treat them the way they should be treated not like a number? And conversate them for their time and effort. And this employer that I don't want to mention seems to know when problems come up they tend to sweep some of the issues under the rug when the problem keeps coming back around to haunt them and their management don't want to seem to let things go let some of the issues go away.

Hi there, As many others I’m been trying to make a move specially to Texas, for so many reasons that would be irrelevant. My point is I do not know anybody there, I work on the medical field , I heard that there is a lot of jobs in hospitals. Bottom line is Like I say do not know anybody, I’m clueless about that state . I just gave my landlord the notice today as 10/31/22 that will be moving out by the end of December . I’m planning to rent an Rbnb at least (a month) and take advantage of it looking for job and a place to live ? Is that a good idea? Someone told me about Georgetown TX is that a good area? Hospitals around? Please help . Thanks a lot !!

So I live in Chicago and just got hired in Florida. (I actually have another job interview scheduled in FL just in case.) Some tips: 1. Apply for jobs that are identical to what you already have experience in/what you have on your resume. 2. At the top of your resume put: Relocating to ______. You can even get more specific and name the specific town the job is in so that the hiring managers are more convinced you won’t have far to travel to get to work. 3. ALWAYS send a cover letter(and again, include that you’re relocating to that state/town.) 4. Spend time really tweaking your resume making sure there are no errors and you have detailed job info on there. You want to stand out and convince hiring managers that you’re “worth” them giving you a chance. 5. Respond promptly to every correspondence they send and always choose the first available interview date. 6. Be ready to explain where you will live when you move. Employers want to feel secure that their new hire will be established and won’t take up their time with unstable housing issues. Hope this helps someone!

I just think it’s stupid to move anywhere with no job to work at unless you rich or have won the lottery. I love Texas and is definitely my favorite state to visit but I will not move there or any state with no jobs or a huge cut in pay just to say I stay there. That’s just plain stupid to me.

Call it what u want but some people are determined. I had a place and money saved before I moved here. I got a job with the state 3mos after I moved here And I didn’t struggle not one bit. Faith in God can get you to alot of places
@eugenetown162 жыл бұрын
@@77blackpearl That’s good you saved a lot of money and had a place prior to moving to Texas. I still would secure a job before I moved anywhere to pay my bills and other things especially when prices in all market sectors (groceries, gas prices, property taxes, etc) are at all time high levels. I have moved out of my home state recently but ensure I had a job that can keep a roof under my head and pays me enough to afford the cost of living in my area. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad you found opportunities in Texas but I just couldn’t moved anywhere without knowing for sure that I have a job in place. In Texas, the cost of living (especially in Dallas, Houston, and Austin) is expensive and most of the jobs (unless you are employed in the tech industry, oil refineries industry, or CEO of a major corporations) are low paying jobs for the cost of living. I know some people who were staying in Texas and is doing worse (have Master and Bachelor degrees that is working at low paying jobs including Texas state government jobs) than the previous job they had in the state they move from but just want to move to Texas to party. One of them had to move back to the previous state they moved from because they couldn’t afford to live in Texas with low paying jobs (this is a State job that pays the same amount of money that Costco or Target pays their employees) and is actually doing better since then.
