Just a thought as to why Aisha is feeling sick also. You two appear to be deeply emotionally connected. When I was pregnant my husband gained the same amount of weight that I did and he had morning sickness and fatigue too. Our doctor said he has seen this many times in couples who are particularly connected emotionally. Perhaps that is why Aisha seems to be having some of your symptoms too Emily. Love you both. Keep on keeping on!

Hey Emily! I’m vegan and have been for around a year now (was veggie for 13 years previous). I know it can seem daunting initially, especially to people who love meat, but by gradually cutting out meat and dairy products I found that it was really a lot easier than you would think! I think the trick is gradual substitution rather than immediately cutting out everything at once (might just be me though). Especially now that it’s becoming so popular and there are so many alternatives (almond milk etc) that are readily available. There are so many health benefits too (I’m sure you’ve read up on this though). Maybe you could give it a trial period like a week or something and see how you get on. No pressure obviously as I know it’s not for everyone. Love the vlogs! :)

Hi you two, new subscriber here from Houston Texas, just getting caught up! About the vegan thing... if you decide to go that route, check in with a registered dietitian to make sure you are getting enough of your other nutrients (vitamin B12, iron, etc). Or maybe start by narrowing it down to only organic, hormone-free, grass fed meats? Love watching you both. You are an inspiration! Happy Easter~

Hi Emily, I’ve been vegan for years. I have two different heart defects, so the last thing I need is animal products. I have to admit, I feel so much better and have much more energy. Another benefit I’ve noticed is my allergies are so much better and I never get colds or flu. I do believe everyone has to make their own decision on their nutrition though. God Bless you!!

Hi Emily. My husband and I were 'vegan 'or ate a plant based diet ( i still wear leather boots and wool etc )for a year after I was diagnosed with melanoma. We both felt pretty good. I stared having stomach issues this November so went back to eating animal products in December -thinking it may be related but I'm still having issues so probably not. anyhow my advise, for what its worth, is that it's best to listen to YOUR body. Youve done GREAT caring for your body this far. AND i recently discovered info on a doctor in new york who had great success treating cancer naturally( using enzymes as well as other things) and he had 10 diet profiles which would be given to different patients and he found melanoma patients often did well on red meat. ! So just goes to show there are a million ways. Trust what your body tells you. It's tough to question and over think these things. Been doing it from day one :( the best thing we can do is have fun and enjoy our lives I think and maybe have an occasional green juice or not. 😚

Aisha looked so beautiful in this vid, love that lipstick on her. You guys are so great with your attitude. I did have a question about a previous medication you mentioned... i get pain from my MS and they have offered me to change to tablets instead of my injections to slow down my MS, but there is a risk of PML (fatal brain infection) with the tablets because it lowers your lymphocytes so much, but apparently they dont have the side effects of being in pain like my injections do. Trying to weigh up the pros and cons, but im thinking of staying on the injections and trying pregabalin. Did you find it helped you? (I think thats what u said u was on) and also did they make you drowsy and zombie like? Bit worried ill slur my words even more when im on them! Haha. Any advice would be great, thanks em xx

There are some great alternatives to meat and dairy out there and I've really been enjoying the diet so far and had some epic meals!! I am also a "porridge" (oatmeal) girl. Since my cancer diagnosis (stage 3 breast cancer, through treatments, but who knows what the future holds?) oatmeal is one of the few foods I can count on enjoying! I put sugar (or brown sugar or maple syrup) and raisins on it, and for an extra carb load, add a couple of pieces of buttered toast!!! LOL I also love how you do lots of Starbucks action, just like we do across the pond. I'm from Minnesota, so my weather is much like yours..... OK, it involves more snow. I can't lie about that. :)
@dashortnails6 жыл бұрын
Hey Mary, i dont wanna be annoying but, dairy is #1 foodsource linked to breast cancer and some types of autoimmune diseases. Why dont you give a dairy free week 🐄 a try. And you will really benefit quitting the starbucks as it will help you staying on the alkaline side better. And dried figs, mulberries or dates would be a better alternative than the brown sugar because unlike brown rice which is a healthier version of white rice, brown sugar is not a healthier option it is just white sugar mixed with molayses. Stay strong and be on the green side of the world they will help your body heal itself.

I feel totally stupid asking this question. But it might just be, because I’m from USA that I don’t know the answer. Anyway, when you say that you ate porridge for breakfast... what exactly does that mean? Is porridge granola with raisins, fruit, nuts,etc? Or oatmeal with raisins fruit nuts etc? Or something totally different? All this past summer, when I was in the hardest part of my cancer treatment, this time around, I craved oatmeal with strawberries, blueberries, BlackBerries, bananas and walnuts with a bit of almond milk and cinnamon to top it off. But then for about three months straight right after that, I craved granola with just about the same things on top, heated up in the microwave. I was wondering if, maybe there are thing in it that we are craving, because our bodies are deficient in it. Actually I’ve been craving that for the past few weeks again. But unfortunately, My teeth are too brittle and weak to bite down on the nuts and hard granola. This is caused by past cancer treatments, along with many years of having anorexia nervosa in my adolescence.

I was wondering how you and Aisha can afford to eat out and go on holiday so often. Speak to the professionals where you get your cancer treatment, Emily. They'll confirm that going vegan won't do anything for your cancer. Enjoy the foods you like to eat and eat them when you want. If you want to eat cleaner, maybe switch to Organic where possible and try to eat more natural foods and less packaged foods. Don't restrict yourself unnecessarily though, it's not worth it. 💜

August Jensen sadly this is exactly the arrogant know it all attitude that puts many off a vegan lifestyle. Contrary to what you espouse, I've had several friends who successfully beat their cancers whilst eating certified organic grass fed/free range meats. Though I agree diet & nutrition changes can go a long way (sugar being the biggest demon) so does one's attitude and spirituality. Everyone's body is unique to them and what works for one may be for another. It's called RESPECTING individual rights of choice. Something you've clearly not learned.
