On a weekly basis my wife and I go to the trails to ride our bikes and we are always running into people who are or doing the carnivore or ketovore diet...I think it's getting popular...The eBikes have been helping me get back in shape...Just getting outside for a couple hours doing some activity is the key...

Hello, Scott, I am sorry for all your losses: your divorce, tĥe terrible injury through someone else's driving mistakes, the pain, the weight gain, etc. I am so thankful that all this loss actually opened the doors that led you to much better health! Good for your girlfriend for encouraging you to open your mind. I relate very well to the carb crashes after lunch. Those plagued me starting in my 20s, significantly affecting my job performance and my parenting for decades. When I went to strict Keto (20 carb grams per day) in Nov. 2018 at age 55, that was the first symptom to immediately and permanently go away, ❤ drastically improving my life. I appreciate your comments about how deep this brainwashing is. To some extent, I am still fighting the lies, because I was very interested in health and nutrition, priding myself on raising my kids with healthy food. I followed the nutritional guidelines and steadily worked my way into iinsulin resistance with lean meats, whole grains, and lots of fruits and vegetables. How deceived we ALL were. I really appreciate that you have made yourself vulnerable in the hopes of helping others! God bless you for your courage.

Hey, Scott! (I'm also Scott). Great testimonial. I just wanted to drop a note because I'm in about the same place as you in terms of still craving a little chocolate or something sweet on a daily basis. You might want to check out a video with Judy Cho and Bart Kay were they discuss the Randall Cycle. I'm going to look into it further, but it seems like a significant factor to be concerned about. I'm not familiar enough with it to give a coherent synopsis here, but it might be something you want to have a listen to. Congrats on your health transformation!

I’m sure you’ve seen already, with other interviews where there is brain injury, elevating fat intake promotes healing. 50/50 fat to muscle meat is normal, maybe a min for you? Others are as high as 90/10! 80/20 is common for women. Eating butter directly is common. I mix coco and tallow with a bit of molasses to make treats (maybe not overdo that)

Loved the fact that after Scott got over the "eggs are good for you" from his girlfriend he dived into the keto/carnivore details in books and online, and actually learned the real science, enough so that he was able to stand up to his Dr and realize that the knowledge his Dr had was just not up to snuff. 15:10 - doctors are so arrogant about their knowledge and profession, that when they can't figure out the root cause of a condition, they literally give it a label (idiopathic) to make it seem like they actually diagnosed it. "We figured out what it is! Idiopathic high blood pressure!"
@littleone31917
@littleone31917 10 күн бұрын
"Idiopathic" is not a diagnostic term, but a descriptive one. It simply states that the doctor doesn't know the cause of a disorder. But to me, once a doctor discovers that her ot she doesn't understand the root cause, it is time to get busy searching for the cause! Nowadays, doctors don't have time to do this, the way the medical world is structured. We are all less healthy as a result.
@darekm6859
@darekm6859 4 күн бұрын
@@littleone31917 Of course idiopathic is a diagnosis. And what about things like "fibromyalgia"? It's literally pain that doctors can't figure out that they made a diagnosis. Or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

Scott this was me too 😂 I could relate to so much in this interview. The idea that meat could have actual nutrients in it aside from iron and protein. I used to cringe at my dad eating duck eggs cooked in beef fat and begged him to stop, luckily he didn't but I did succeed in getting him to change from using beef tallow in the deep fat fryer to vegetable oil 😩 and all the while thinking I was following an amazing diet by being vegetarian eating mainly pasta with tomato sauce and even imitation meats 🤦 all because of headlines from "studies", friend's opinions and TV It's just so obviously silly to me now. There are a lot of studies to prove one thing or another but now for me if it goes against the common sense of our original natural diet then I'm highly sceptical If anyone reading this comment hasn't seen Dr Berry's real super food vs fake "superfood" video I urge you to check it out

Thanks for sharing your story! The historical context you gave about the pro-carb diet advice/cookbooks really took me back in time. It's so important that we never forgot what they did, even as they do the same thing now dressed up in a different costume. But now, the "life and death of the entire planet" hangs in the balance. 🙄 That's how desperate they are to keep us sick, weak, ignorant, and obedient.
