Mou, Conte, and Tuchel all have one uniform characteristic, which is authoritarian dictatorship. Even Mou and Conte won't refrain from talking sheet to their own players. This is pretty bothersome and disrupting the harmony of the locker room. Graham has calmer approach so I hope it brings consistency to our morale. Sarri was pretty good in terms of mental management, but his tactic just doesn't fit. He's less confrontative like those three, hence partly caused Kepa's antics. But back to those 3, Mou was bored, Conte was sabotaged (Costa's case really influenced other players), and Tuchel was just too affected by his divorce, which made him more naggy, stubborn, and less creative. We never have a balanced coach like Potter. The last time we do, it's Ancelotti, but he's so inconsistent. Nobody's ultra consistent, but I wish Potter would be the most balanced like Klopp. Klopp is super consistent, even the most consistent PL manager. Guardiola is consistent not because of his management, but money. He's the "Pay To Win" embodiment of PvP games.

@@intermediate212 Guardiola left Barca because the players hate him. Same as Bayern, he left due to conflicts with players, mainly Muller, and the management. But we all knew, the real reason was that he asked Bayern to buy SEVEN TOP PLAYERS. He stayed this long in City, because those Emirs of Abu Dhabi would rain him billions of Pounds like nothing. He got nowhere to go as City is the richest club in the world OWNER WISE, so not based on revenues, but owner's buying power. Not to mention how not even PSG would want to pay him that much. Yes, he won leagues consecutively, but he did the same with Barca and Bayern. Both were at their prime during his reign. He only go to prime wealthy clubs. He'd never dared himself to coach Roma like Mourinho or Ancelotti by coaching Everton. UCL proved how money isn't the sole case, unlike the league. Winning the league is easier when you have two "first team" squads, you won't have to think about rotation or injuries. But UCL is harder, because injury prone teams like Chelsea and Liverpool would save players and prioritize UCL. Just like Real Madrid who kept winning UCL while failing domestic league. These teams have "so so" backups, which means more harmonious locker room, instead of bench full of stars like failed Ronaldo Nazario's Galactico period.

The fan base has a short memory, please kindly remember that Chelsea was on the decline from Christmas 2021 onwards. Tuchel somehow lost it, for the 1st sign was the defeat to Arsenal during pre-season, not necessarily the performance of the team, but how he responded to the loss after that. For me the thing that is very different having watched Tuchel’s and Potter’s Chelsea is the variety in Potter’s possession tactics. With Tuchel it was very obvious. Everything would go through Jorginho in midfield before being played out to the wingbacks and then back inside. Potter has us playing incredibly unpredictably. It feels like the players have more license to alter the play than they did under Tuchel. One moment we’ll go from heavily possession based football and the next we’ll be playing one touch and quite vertical football. Also, our play in the final 3rd is more varied. Tuchel’s Chelsea would try and pass yiu to death until the found a gap. Under potter there just constant rotation. The players are playing more instinctively. We can play through the centre, out wide or go for cutbacks like city. That last point especially was not common under Tuchel.

I would judge him after the 1st full season 23-24 but with the lack of patience with the higher ups, who knows. My personal opinion, he is a Brendan Rodgers doppleganger

Potter deserve big credit. Chelsea made Milan to stop playing their game, that's due to tactical organisation. Mind u Chelsea lost against teams like Zagreb, Leeds Burnley & narrowly won everton. My point is these same players lost against small teams but potter made them to thump the next teams. Milan are Italian champions but see how Napoli dismantled Liverpool

Everything looks sweet and beautiful in the beginning at Chelsea. Wait until next season Potter will surely be one of the favourites to get sacked. As a Chelsea fam happiness is always temporary

Mase doesn’t get his due credit. Last season scored 10 goals (none from pens) and had 10 assists in the Prem alone. The pass to Kai for the goal in the CL final literally won the game. If any other 22 yr old English EPL player did that pundits and non-CFC fans would be riding their d*ck. Gallagher (IMO) is/will be even better (he’s a yr younger). Reece is the best RB/RWB in the world at 23 (he’s = to TAA offensively but levels above him at defending… after the Milan game Leão said Reece was the best/toughest player he’s EVER faced). And Broja at 20 is a star in the making too. Way better than Tammy. Future world beater. Chelsea’s Academy is next level.

I find it strange that less is expected of Potter than of the likes of lampard/Gerrard. It's a disservice to both, I think. Potter has been working towards a job of this stature for nearly 15 years and his track record suggests that he deserves it.

This man needs to be backed, look what he did with such average/sub-par teams, with some money I’m sure he will become great!

It is idiotic to think he is better than tuchel after a few games. What matters most is cup wins. Until that happens he isn't better. Tuchel went to 6 finals and won three. Let's see Potter do this. He was focused on winning cups and the players were focused on selfish desires to play.

In terms of stats used why not use the first 5 games under Tuchel and show us the first 5 games under Potter not to show us the last 7 games under Tuchel when it was clear that he had lost half of the squad. You're painting an inaccurate picture when you do that. But if we show what its like when players are committed under both systems then we have something clearer
@shamilrasheed50712 жыл бұрын
Potter we are playing more vertical passes & attacking player's more close to each other & interchange of position. Tuchel is tactician but attacking style was average.

Potter attacks, tuchel defends He also including all of the squad. This keeps everyone on their toes. Tuchel lost some of the dressing room and when they needed to be called upon,like pulisic and ziyech they had no rhythm/form in them

Ffs I'm going to tell you exactly why it fell apart with tuchel. Contrary to popular belief, we created plenty of chances under tuchel. Especially first 50 to 70 games. BUT we missed A LOT of those chances. Now tuchel is a no BS guy. He would berate the players for those mistakes. In the end the players, particularly the attackers lost their confidence due to worrying about the barrage of abuse they'd get from tuchel. They then got fed up with his approach to mistakes and down tooled. The biggest positive I see with Potter is his man management. I think he even has a masters in communication or something along those lines. This was tuchels down fall and could well be potters biggest weapon

I don't have any thing to tell Potter. My assessment will come at the end of the season...it's unwise to do it now.
