If any of you have actually done your research in Maresca, you'd see he's been extremely successful wherever hes been! Lets not forget, everyone has to start somewhere! At one point, Mourinho or hell even pep were considered "not proven". Maresca is a tactician, he has studied pep, long before working with him, but from playing against his Barca side. All candidates are supposedly deemed "not fit" by the majority of Chelsea fans... But in my honest opinion, Maresca ticks a lot of boxes, He's a coach, not manager, hes young, hes level headed, hes a tactician, hes possession based, and what I think works in his favour is that hes an admirer of Pep. I'm optimistic about him. He was once linked with Celtic 3 years ago and his fans said the same "hes not proven, we need a proper manager" then Leicester fans said the exact same thing... now fast forward to now, he's wanted by all Leicester fans to stay. This guy COULD be unsuccessful, but who are we as fans to deem that right from the get go? Maybe I'm too optimistic, but I like the guy, and I say before you knock him, do your research

I personally think the 1st problem is the “BLOATED SQUAD” we need to get rid of a lot of players! Maatsen needs to be spoken about (if keep him or not?) and I’d get rid of of Chilwell (Chilly I love him to bits, but he can’t play in a back 4) Cucurella can go as well and I’d have Gusto and Maatsen fighting for that spot! (Great competition) I don’t think we need to sign a GK (although you do know Maresca 1st signing at Leicester was a GK? Dasasi and Badieshiele are 🐕 💩 so I’d try and get Tosin (if you have watched Fulham’s games then you would understand why Newcastle and Man U want him) I WANT HIM! To be with Colwill, Wesley Forfana and Chalobah (although I think Trev will be sold (sad) Then we got 5 players for 2 positions… WTFFFFF!! Caicedo, Enzo, Gallagher, Ugochuko and Lavia… IS THAT HEALTHY? NO!! We got 3 players that are excellent that can play in the 10 role: Palmer, Nkunku, Carney Wingers we have a problem, NONE OF THEM are good enough for me (Madueke, Sterling, Mudryk are NOT GOOD ENOUGH) Madueke and Mudryk do 1 good thing every 8 times they recieve the ball and Sterling (I don’t even need to give an explication about what WE ALL think about him (what’s concerning is Maresca might fancy Sterling… then we got a problem! Strikers, I’m fine with buying 1 and keeping Jackson as rotation (although Jackson is the same as Mudryk and Madueke, for every 8 times he gets the ball or a chance he does 1 thing good) he looks like he tackles himself and trips up with his own feet. Watkins or Ompenda for me to come in as the striker.

I really don't get the tag on these "gaffers coming from the championship" as a dent on their abilities.. Arsenal hired Pep's deputy in Arteta straight off and we all laughed at them but see where it landed them. Bayer Leverkusen last season sacked an experienced gaffer in the middle of the season who had them battling relegation and hired an unproven & untested gaffer in Alonso and see how far it has got them - UNBEATEN RUN and a double in Germany! So good to see him reward that faith by staying put! A good coach is a good one - regardless of where he coaches. We can judge them by their methods and results. We all laughed when the board mentioned Spurs Coach, Ange as one they were targeting for the Chelsea job last season but he fared better and landed them in an Europa spot which we would gladly have right now! So sometimes as fans, we need to chill as we really dont know it all.

Tbh if he does sign not much we can do but back him. My concern is that the players we have, individually are good players but collectively in a system that’s where I’m concerned. Each on our midfielders are good players but I honestly believe that’s where we get exposed. Caicedo is very active and has an engine but is he always defensively in tune with the game? No. Enzo F is very technical with his ability and eye for a pass but does the intensity of midfield battles run him over? Yes. Even Gallagher with the good season he had, does he miss opportunities to play between the lines or see a pass when needed? Yes. My issue is that if Enzo Maresca plays with a double pivot and a #10, one of these players will need to be coming off the bench. IMO, I think we need a pivot with a DM that has a great eye for reading the game with a physical presence (even if Cucu inverts to midfield all of these guys are diminutive). Either Enzo F or Caicedo sit beside that 6. Now I believe Enzo/Caicedo can play together in a flat mid 3 with a proper 6 sitting behind both of them. Enzo progress a bit further up the pitch and Caicedo can press like he does. I’m opened minded but here’s to another start to the “project”. Great work George 💙

Historically Italians and Chelsea is a good match. Dunno, fingers crossed, will see! Could be better, could be much worse.

Every EPL club is afraid of Pep staying in Man City and would be very relieved to see him leave

The quote that worries me is maresca said he failed at Parma due to the team singing lots of young players speaking different languages Sooo basically Chelsea The counter point is he has since worked with pep and Chelsea’s team has had a year together at this point

A year together under a different manager with different tactics. It's a recipe for failure. The team and coach finally figured out how to play together and win and then there's massive changes and probably transfers.

With Nkuku in the side, jackson surely has to be wide, hes better wide than as a number 9

Enzo "Del Monte" Maresca 66% win rate in the Championship. Surely, a step down, or two, or more from Poch.

When Sarri left and Hazard gone, I prayed for good times and wished for a worldclass manager cause a club like Chelsea we need a top tier manager but since Tuchel's departure we are in complete shambles and now we are looking at Championship manager..... Seriously 🤦♂️ We're a joke and only a miracle can save us 🤞💀
@dewayneeze66865 ай бұрын
Totally believe Maresca's Chelsea will waltz into top 4 comfortably next season, as Poch should have if he didn't do himself in with his rubbish tactics and game management in the first 10 or so matches of the league

MR MARESCA, you're welcome. My only concern I Lukaku now, can someone find a way to dispose this guy😂

Also Enzo as a double pivot doesn’t work until he massively improves his tactical awareness, defensive output and loses his need to be “the man”

Waiting for this channel to call for the sacking of the manager on a 5 games losing streak next (from october to december)

Suspect Chilwell, Sterling, Monaco boys and Jackson may be out due to wretched passing skills. Jackson should be given a chance to improve, not the others. Would prefer to see what RdZ does with a bigger budget, but it looks like our sporting directors (plural, not a good thing) are willing to defend a hill of their own making, rather worrying.
