This is frequently the outcome of arranged (forced) marriage. In most cases, these types of marriages do not succeed and result in a fight between both parties and in the end the child who didn't even asked to be born get traumatised by an undeserving family. So be wise, be independent and earn your partner yourself.

There must be parenting courses which should be done mandatory for couples before having a child. If this can't be done then atleast couples should do this type of courses on their own to understand the importance of proper parenting. Also this would solve a lot of mental health issues among the children.

This video is focused on bullying done by parents. But that is not the only reason for childhood traumas. I am lucky to have soft parents. But I suffered from a lot of childhood traumas caused by toxic friends circle and irresponsible school teachers. Non friendly school teachers and toxic friends make a person to be timid and introverted. I still face problems in talking to my college professors and overall to any other person because of these traumas.

teachers also can play a role in childhood trauma. A teacher once told me something which still haunts me because at that point of time I was not matured to understand. I even spoke to my parents regarding this, but they just told me to ignore to what she said and be a better person. But, Its been more than 12+ years and sometimes it still hurts me to the core.

@himani2472

So true! But they would never go to counseling, therapy etc. because these are alien concepts for them. And then the onus falls on us, their children to go to therapy so as to not propagate the cycle of abuse further. And that too secretively because that will supposedly makes us "weak" in front of them and they laugh about it. Irony! :/

As someone who is healing from childhood trauma and has recently watched animal movie's trailer, i am so thrilled to see our traumas being raised mainstream. It's so painful to realise so many symptoms be it physical, mental, communication and emotional arise from trauma. Cheers and good vibes to everyone who are on their healing journey and i pray your futures may be much more better than all your traumas. ❤

If you want to see the change, be the change, I also was beaten by my father in childhood that time i though of suicide but never attempted, later on I realised my father was doing so to make a disciplined and well behave kid as so I had planned to repeat the same treatment to my child but when the actual time came I love my kid instead of beating him and now one is 11y and another 1 is 9y both of them play with me, share their emotion, accept their mistakes and treat me as their friend and I also begin my childhood alongwith them. I still love my father and understand why he was frustrated but the way he relax himself was not right

I have also faced lots of physical and mental torture from my father. I can still remember how he used to hit the back side of my head when I made little mistakes while doing maths. I was then merely 7 or 8 years old child and my skull didn't attain its full maturity and sturdiness. Not only that, he used to break my confidence and self esteem in numerous ways. And the worst thing is that I was made to believe by parents that its quite normal and its my fault that I can't live to his expectations. Now I am a 27 years old bank employee and about to get married. Today when I see modern parents raising and treating their kids in a more empathetic way, I can realize that what happened with me during childhood was totally wrong.
