Chris Paul has had an interesting NBA career so far. In the beginning, he was a bright young star with the New Orleans Hornets, leading them to 56 wins at just 22 years old. Paul is one of the greatest point guards of all time, and yet...he's still somehow underrated. Despite the doubters, Paul is still an elite player who literally makes every single team better. Every team he played for in his NBA career has been better with him on the roster, as he fits seamlessly into any situation. Paul is objectively one of the 10 greatest point guards ever, a rare combination of historic passing, very good shooting, slicing attacks toward the rim, and elite defense at his position

Ironically CP3 not getting put on the all star team in 2018 was one of the very few times the award was handed out correctly. We need to stop using team achievements to justify individual awards. Athletes don’t do this. I played sports my entire life, and everytime there was a discussion about how good a player was, nobody ever mentioned their teams record, you know why? Because anyone who’s actually played the sport understands 1 player is not responsible for a team winning or losing. You can be best player on the court, and still lose the game, because they had a better TEAM. It’s simple logic, and yet we keep entertaining a braindead method of comparing individual athletes (prioritizing team achievements), and as a result many awards go to the wrong players. The MVP award doesn’t even have integrity anymore because of that shit. There’s no rule that says the MVP has to be given to the player on the best TEAM, because it’s an individual award. I won 2 MVPs playing ice hockey growing up, and my team only won 1 tournament in my 4 years of HS, and it wasn’t because of me, I had the best stats, but it was because I had 3 other amazing hockey players on my team that season, and I could not have won it all by myself without them. It’s also completely hypocritical how NBA fans will have discussions about how X player couldn’t get X thing done, because they didn’t have good teammates, then turn around and justify giving out individual awards based on team achievements, based not on logic, but simple tradition. It’s absolutely braindead 🧠☠️ And it won’t stop until the people who know better stop trying to justify it, and educate the casual fans that don’t know any better. “Any man can make mistakes, but only an idiot persists in his error” - Cicero
