How The Dallas Mavericks Rebuilt After Dirk

In 2011 Dirk Nowitzki led the Mavericks to their first championship in franchise history with a massive upset over the Miami Heat. The Mavericks were never able to reach those heights again in the Dirk Nowitzki era and he would eventually retire after the 2018-2019 season. The Mavericks have not been able to win another championship following Dirk's retirement, but they were able get back to the NBA Finals last year and will remain a contender in the Western Conference for years to come.
