How clean is the cheapest amplifier from AliExpress?

Those adjustable power supplies aren't exactly clean themselves, I've had issues with them causing LVDS dropouts on LCD monitors, which go away when you change out the power brick. Not that this thing would probably perform all that much better with a clean power supply!

I bet this thing would make a great little headphone guitar amp. You wouldn’t even need a distortion pedal. Dominated by second order harmonics it should sound pretty raunchy with a hot guitar signal from active pickups.

Thanks for all the great videos! This one was definitely interesting. I'm not saying you did anything wrong, but im curious to know if the amp would be any cleaner if it was run on a car battery? With that said im not sure its worth too much investigation. I tried a few of these amps just for fun, it didn't last long, because they were nowhere near as good as my real amplifiers, and I had more than one 3116 amplifier failure

Running these amps from car hattery might reduce the noise slightly, but harmonics will be unaffected.

@@alexandrumariusttudor9250 The 2*50 +100w versions are rubbish. The crossovers for the sub are too high and the ones with adjustable crossovers don't work as they should.

I've just binned one of these boards because the bluetooth connection was popping and cracking, noisy... just awful.

@@paulstubbs7678 I know want you mean, there's a lot of tat that get made and goes straight in the bin. I've bought a couple of cheap amps before. Some having been too bad but I've found the ones with a sub output are now good because of a weird crossover point.
