MV Ghidorah was a bit of a contradiction; He's durable enough to sit there and tank Godzilla's juiced atomic breath, but gets absolutely destroyed in hand to hand combat every time. Also, none of Ghidorah's attacks seem capable of doing any actual damage to Godzilla(aside from dropping him). The gravity beams only push Godzilla at most, and his teeth can't penetrate his skin. Hell, even the Mutos were able to pierce Godzilla's hide with relative ease and cause serious injury. Any time ghidorah lands a bite, Godzilla just shrugs it off like it's nothing and keeps attacking. 1: He ran away from Godzilla in Antarctica after relying on beam-spamming to keep the upper hand. 2: Ghidorah was getting completely annihilated in the ocean battle before the army intervened. 3: Ghidorah needed a powerup to get an advantage in Boston. 4: He was only in the ice because Godzilla beat him in the past, apparently pretty easily if the director's statements are true.

Ok I would like to mention that Ghidorah was absolutely destroying Godzilla in the first fight he even knocked him down and then the humans got involved and Ghidorah left, but only after the humans starting shooting, and then in the last fight he only needed to use the electricity power up bc mothra webbed him to a building, people often mention how Ghidorah needed the power up but leave out that Ghidorah was only in that situation because mothra webbed him onto a building and then Godzilla knocked him into that building, the only time Ghidorah was in trouble without the intervention of a third party was in the water, Ghidorah would have won twice without the involvement of extra people

Regarding a few things and your points: Mutos are specifically designed to counter Godzilla and his species He was doin pretty alright during the arctic fight and toppled zilla. Then the military AND Godzilla showed up so he ran He’s a flying creature he’s not gonna be able to swim well let alone handle basically an alligator attacking him Godzilla was already juiced up and was gonna explode so he decided to even the field. The 2 are generally equals. This was demonstrated through their performances throughout the film, and the narrative supports this as well. There are plenty of times where one of them gets one over the other, but these are specific instances with specific contexts. The rest of the time, it's an even bout where their strength and durability are on-par, meaning fights rely on combat skill, reactions, tactics, and overall builds. People tend to see any potential worse performance as indicative of the whole, rather than just something in the moment. Godzilla can readily tear apart Ghidorah given the opportunity, but Ghidorah is his equal in strength and can blast or bite him off. Ghidorah is more manoeuvrable with his necks, but Godzilla has better footwork. They're fairly even, able to fight each other at a baseline pretty well, with either side requiring particular circumstances to truly pull ahead of one another.

There was never, ever a point where they were equal. Godzilla tanked or completely no sold everything Ghidorah did. He ripped his limbs off. *Nothing will ever be equal to something that tank everything it has and rip its limbs off. If they can rip your limbs off, you're severely outclassed in strength. I am very late but I don’t even think that was a proper amp, it was more to heal Godzilla then amp him, I think he got more radiation inside his body but that would only really power up his blasts slightly more even tho his blast basically did the same amount of effect to ghidorah. A proper amp Godzilla needs another nuke for clear reasons as most of the radiation in the first one was used for healing. Amped Godzilla which we have seen now would high diff amped ghidorah

I think something also notible is that Godzilla learns really fast from his prior mistakes. For example after Ghidorah dodging his Atomic Breath aimed at his heads, Godzilla aims at his chest the second time. Also I think the only attack of Ghidorah that REALLY did serious damage to Godzilla was letting him fall from the sky which I don't think Godzilla would let happen again should the fight have continued on. Would this make him win another fight? I think Ghidorah still has better chances but it would make an uncharged 1v1 without external influences much closer.

I disagree with the boston fight, godzilla clearly got more and better blows on ghidorah with slashes, throwing him against buildings with ease, a tail whip that staggered ghidorah considerably and then after the one hit that ghidorah gets with it being the slam, godzilla just used his atomic breath to get out of it and he was clearly winning. Mothras help really wasnt needed in that fight. But then ghidorah got his power up and turned the tides so amped godzilla>> base mz Amped mz>> amped godzilla.

This fight is very close. Both MZ, and Godzilla are very close when it comes to power and special abilities. Their ancient rivalry proves that because of their unique and special abilities, they will go back and forth. This video does a great job pointing out both Kaijus and their strength/weakness, but something I would love to point out is 2 things. In the category for strength, while lifting strength and overall strength is a different topic, I would say MZ is SLIGHTLY stronger than Godzilla. This is proven in the Boston fight when MZ uses his agility to counter Godzilla's claw attack, grip on him by the neck, lift him a dozen meters off the ground, then choke slam him into the ground. To lift the 99k ton titan with nothing but 3 necks then lift him with wings is impressive. As for your special abilities point, we should consider Ghidorah was able to generate category 6 Hurricanes. Which Hurricanes, require more energy than every single atomic bomb on the planet to stay going. So for Ghidorah to produce the storms is absolutely insane. If you want evidence for the Hurricane, look up how much a energy is needed to make a Category 5 Hurricane. It's absolutely insane. And Ghidorah makes Hurricanes FAR more powerful. Which gives his special abilities a equal/slight edge with Godzilla(whose atomic breath is powerful on its own). Finally, we should consider the battle of attrition. MZ is alien, his regeneration, special abilities, thunderstorm production(which aids in his regeneration), and flight capabilities allows Ghidorah to always last the flight longer than Godzilla. While the battle is close, MZ will always be the victor in a 1v1 situation with Godzilla. Great video as always, fda!

It was said that Godzilla beaten and knocked out Ghidorah in Antarctica. So I would say that Godzilla at the peak of his power in base form can beat Ghidorah. It was never mentioned nor stated if Mothra or another titan ever aided Godzilla when he trapped him into the ice. It was said that Godzilla shot Ghidorah out of the sky with his atomic breath, and got knocked out after the crash. But if you do still think that he had help, which is fine, I think it's possible that this titan Shimo, was the one that helped Godzilla trap Ghidorah Into the ice. But I am firmly in the belief that it was truly a 1 on 1 battle when Godzilla became victorious, at the moment. But I do have a couple things to mention. Ghidorah's beams didn't just push Godzilla back, they actually gave Godzilla visible injuries in Antarctica. He was blasted in the face by a gravity beam once they collided. If you kick up the quality of the video in a 4k footage battle between the two, at the right moment when you pause with the lightning shown in the background, you can see Godzilla's skin blasted off of the side of his left face. And on the chest during the scene where Godzilla falls into the pit Ghidorah was trapped in. About the atomic breath temperature, it's not 500,000 degrees Celsius. That's Heisei Godzilla's temperature. In GvK, it was stated that his heat ray is 20,000 degrees Celsius. At its weakest, anyway. At its strongest, however, it was mentioned that it most likely reaches far beyond that. And I believe them. Titans like MUTO Prime and Ghidorah are comparable to Godzilla in durability, which means they can just as easily withstand nuclear explosions. And yet, they were still scorched and damaged by his atomic heat ray that ranges far above the heat of nuclear bombs. In my opinion, possibly billions of degrees Celsius. I know that some may digress, given for some reasons of their own. But I think it's illogical to think that his atomic breath is barely 100,000 degrees Celsius, but still managed to harm other monsters. It has to be far hotter than a hundred million degrees Celsius, and hotter than the core of stars. If you think about it, you could argue that Monsterverse Godzilla's atomic breath at its peak can range to billions of degrees Celsius. That's one of the hottest atomic heat rays in the franchise. It explains how easily he's able to wound and sometimes outright kill other titans, and being able to vaporize a hole twice the size of Kong into the Earth's core.

Not close at all. Ghidorah did literally nothing to Godzilla the whole film besides harmlessly pushing him over, until he dropped him and relied on gravity to do what he embarrassingly could not. Godzilla was no-selling literally everything Ghidorah had. None of his attacks worked beyond mildly scraping Godzilla's hide. Ghidorah had to drop him from the upper atmosphere just to cause any meaningful damage because he could not do it himself, and even that required the plot making Godzilla conveniently forget he can just casually pull Ghidorah's limbs off with less leverage than he had. Ghidorah was running away, getting limbs plucked off, ect. It was barely hanging in there the entire film lol. Consequently, he lost all 3 matches with Godzilla hands-down…first by retreating, then by getting ripped to pieces, and finally to Burning mode. Ghidorah's base beam did not do jack and his amped beam did minor damage to Godzilla’s skin. So insignificant I had to watch it twice just to even see it in the one scene it was in. This is really not that bad of damage, I get worse scrapes and burns at work every other day lol _(I have counted over 120 scars between my fingertip and elbow then just stopped counting)._ I would think I am qualified to say it is literally just skin damage. That's nothing. Ghidorah scales hilariously below the base Godzilla he fought, because that version was literally pulling his heads off. I am not sure if most people are understanding just how much OBSCENELY stronger you have to be to pull something's head off. The strongest man on earth cannot even do that to a toddler. This is more like a guy fighting a bear or a gorilla _(animals that _*_can_*_ rip people's limbs off, on the order of 5-10x stronger than any man)._ It is not close. He did not bite it off, not rip, he _pulled_ it off like a flower. When your opponent can just pluck your limbs off, it is not a close fight. That is a mismatch. I sincerely think it was a mistake to put that in the film because there was no tension at all after that. It is obvious who has the overwhelming advantage. So in the end, Ghidorah does not have any feats above large building level. That is why some people literally to scale his bio-field and storms as AP, because there is literally nothing else to use. His actual feats suck but people want him to be strong because he's cool. And he is cool. But he is not strong, evidently. The only implication that he is is people telling you he is, despite the film not showing it. And instead showing him get trashed repeatedly.

I read this all, and here’s my take. I think Ghidorah vs Godzilla in base can’t be determined as Ghidorah ran away the first time, and even though he was kind of losing it’s not like Godzilla clearly stomped him, he just did a lil more(I do think Goji wins in base but I do think we need more to determine this). In the water, Godzilla easily takes this, and you can’t really use this. In the Boston fight, Godzilla is amped while Ghidorah isn’t, but to your point, when Ghidorah does become amped, he still doesn’t actually do any brutal dmg until he uses gravity to do so. HOWEVER, Ghidorah is allowed to do this hence the wings and weight advantage, it’s still part of what he is as a kaiju. So although I think Godzilla was dominating in close quarters, Ghidorah won in the end just being Ghidorah.

Godzilla simply regenerated in seconds after the nuke , being completely refreshed. Doesn't mean he was powered up. I believe in Boston both were fighting refreshed and Godzilla took the edge without Ghidorah getting his amp. I believe Godzilla in a 1v1 situation beats Ghidorah. Mike Dougherty said that Godzilla and Ghidorah once fought for the crown in Antarctica , with Godzilla winning. Mothra was not spoken off there. So apparently Godzilla beat Ghidorah himself there. Godzilla was also having a bit edge in the Antarctica fight , with Ghidorah getting some edge on the gravity beams , but all it did was push Godzilla. And in there hand combat Godzilla was outclassing Ghidorah. Ghidorah's skin was burning by Godzilla's atomic breath but Godzilla wasn't even fazed by the gravity beams. Godzilla wins.

Hey Fda. Just to let you know, Godzilla was fresh, not amped. He was in a very low state for almost being dead. The nuke just got him back up to a fresh state, but nothing above. Meanwhile Ghidorah was already fresh, and when he got the amp he was able to heal himself and be fully amped. So in other words it wasn't a fair fight bc while Ghidorah was fully amped, godzilla was basically just fresh. Also, Godzilla was able to legit burn wholes through the wings of Ghidorah meaning before mothra came he had the upper hand bc Ghidorah was unable to even fly and then he got the amp to heal himself. I would respectfully disagree, since the statement of one of the military guys who was monitoring Godzilla said "Whatever Serizawa did to Godzilla, it worked *a little too well* because he's about to explode like an atom bomb.". I take this to mean Godzilla was beyond his limits in radiation, he had more than his body could handle even with him venting massive amounts with his overcharged atomic breath. A definite amp for Godzilla, too much for him until Mothra sacrificed herself to give him her regenerative energy, which stabilised him enough to expel the overload in massive pulses **after** Ghidorah had already drained some of it from Godzilla through his constricting and biting act.

When it comes to strength and speed he's just fresh, he isn't amped. When it comes to power he is slightly amped. Ghidorah on H2Hs always had the upper hand, but Mothra/Humans were there to help Goji, Ghidorah would've drained Goji to death if there was no humans, and Goji couldn't go thermo if there was no Mothra... Ghidorah didn’t just get an amp, the whole electricity thing stunned Godzilla enough to where ghidora could take advantage of it. If he weren’t stunned then ghidora would never have been able to take Godzilla into the sky. And it really wasn’t even before the electricity stun in Boston, Godzilla was winning very lopsidedly. Using the Godzilla that froze ghidora is not very fair since he’s even smaller than the Godzilla in 1950s (like 350 feet.) Godzilla outclasses ghidora in speed in land as well, saying they were charging at eachother at equal speed isn’t right. Godzilla clearly had more momentum going into ghidora, thus pushing him back. Ghidora, other than when dropping Godzilla down from the sky, never injured or even hurt Godzilla. Ghidora simply has no win cons and cannot beat Godzilla without outside interference (like the oxygen destroyer.)

It's really just inconsistencies similar to some of the heisei Era inconsistencies like for example heisei goji when fighting space goji at the end he managed to finish him off with a beam he shouldn't really be killed by since he was made from supernovae and the beam heisei fired is much weaker than a supernova in power.
