Absolutely like this season is basically all marvel. It’s still cool I think but, we need more original skins (basically anything from chapter 1 was original)

how are you geting mad that super heros horror characters video game colabs and tv show crossovers are getting skins do you now the glee of seeing yout favorite charactor in all of fiction and geting to play as them or seeing a relley cool character youve never seen and finding out about a relley cool show or game you never played thay cause no harm what so ever and by this point your just hating

I don't think colab items are terrible. My problem is when they become are the forefront to Fortnite's identity such as the congested item shop skins with the festival pass and item shop. Also it's annoying when they incorporate into the story. Like i want original characters in charge of the main Fortnite story....not Dwane as thr Foundation or Doom as the main threat. It just feels lazy and uninspired

When we had the old skin models in chapter 1 players actually made cool looking custom designs and played all different kinds of skins, even when new battlepasses released i remember almost everybody running arround with the tier 1 skins😅. Now nobody carse anymore there are like 15 skins which you really see 99% in every game and nobody wears backpacks or cares about combinations and this is really a downfall

When it's a classic tv show which is really successful for years and almost everyone knows, i have no problem with it, but when i see any random anime or disney show or musicians icon skin in the shop, taking the spot from the original game skins i really think it's stupid

collabs are genuinely so annoying, I cannot comprehend how people enjoy it. It just doesn't feel right seeing it into fortnite, it just feels weird. I love the original fortnite made skins, (NOT THE RESKINS) they always felt fresh. Hell, there are so many collabs I barely see any good oldschool items in the shop anymore.. especially now with these constant shitty shops. Now to be fair, because fortnite is really the only game to do this, I feel like these collabs are some big % portion to their revenue therefore they always find themselves contacts and deals.

It just makes Fortnite feel like it’s not original or uniquely creative anymore. Collabs aren’t bad if they’re just skins I think when they try to incorporate entire seasons around them, that’s where I have an issue like the Dragon Ball Z Collab yeah it’s cool if you give a crap care in the world about Dragon Ball Z same with Marvel. I like the first Marvel season but this Marvel season , been there done that and the first one was way better

I had my fun back in 2018 and 2019and now it’s just a totally different game. I don’t play Fortnite anymore outside of the OG seasons and horde rush I was just making an observation.

I understand wanting more personalization for collabs but I absolutely don’t mind them going nuts on the cosmetics because in my mind the logic goes like this. The more personalized approach you seem to describe is cool in the sense that you are essentially getting the collab to its fullest ie cosmetics, maybe an event, in game npc, items, quests, creative map, etc. But, this approach also means that if we gotta go through the motions of giving each collab their own proper time, it would mean we wait for very long times in between things. Which can really suck for people who go through a lot of collabs for things/people they don’t care about. In Fortnite’s defense, I think now that their name has become so big, and they can reach so many IP’s and easily collab, it kind of makes it a no brainer to just go nuts on cosmetics. It’s the easiest to make out of other options and most rewarding profitably because anyone who enjoys the IP will most likely buy it assuming they are actively playing and enjoying fortnite. And it’s not like fortnite never goes in depth with collabs anymore, I mean we just got our first battle pass dedicated almost entirely to an IP which is pretty cool precedent for future possible battle passes imo. I don’t want to come off as a big epic d rider cuz trust me, I can make many criticisms towards their cocky arrogant nature and their strong aspirations to always out do themselves every chapter to a debilitating degree sometimes. ‘Cough cough Fortnite meta verse’ But I really do feel epics approach to just what as many collabs as possible over personalizing each one is better for the overall consumer, because it reaches more people with more niche fan bases that might’ve gotten missed otherwise.

I love it, when they made Collab trailers like Chapter 2 Season 5. I loved when I saw Jonesy recruited the people with a little short. If they have a animated trailer, the collab automatically becomes more impactful for me. But Chapter 2 Season 5 was special since there was a reason why Jonesy brought the Collabs in. Nowadays most of the non- battlepass- collabs are a tweet and that's it. I really love Collabs, but bringing them somewhat in with the story is so much more exciting for fans of the Collabs and Fortnite

There's also the thing with the rebooted storyline, back then collabs we're rifted to the island with the zero point, lore wise atleast it made sense, nowadays we don't even know if the zero point is still in chapter 5.

I agree with you. It is fun to see certain collabs in the game, but atp, they just be adding any any every collab. Their originality is slowly fading, and I bet many people quit because of how overwhelming it is. I hope they slow down a bit on the collabs and focus more on their originality bc their regular cosmetics are so rushed nowadays that they dont even sell well.

I know how you take a stab at the people who ask where the proof is but the "Proof" you actually give is pretty weak honestly... I mean you only look at the icon skins in fortnite which ignores so many other collabs, you're looking through a very limited lens and you even say how older players "May not like this" you don't really provide any proof. but hey it's fine not to like collabs I personally really enjoy them just don't go aroundsaying how collabs "Ruin" the game

If people enjoy them there’s no problem but, majority of people I play with don’t like the overload. If they did it slower and added more emphasis to characters it would make these releases 1000x better. And I bet you could agree with me on that as well

My opinion is that collabs are a great way to appeal to a broad spectrum of global players while not impacting the game play. The volume does cheapen the collab and makes it less special. I am way more over the broken items that come along with the collab. That is what is ruining Fortnite, the weapons that fundamentally change the game and make it so broken. The more Epic moves in the direction (and the seem to be more and more), the less this seems like Fortnite and the more the players will leave. I feel the popularity of OG and reload shows the bulk of players want Fortnite, not some Marvel or anime game that is packaged as Fortnite.

But the senseless direction of collabs we are in as of now, is very bad for the game. I apologize for coming off rude. I just have a lot of passion for this game and what it was, what it could be, and what it is now.

theres usually 1 or 2 collab skins in the battle pass and like 5 in the shop we are still geting tons of original skins your litarly just geting mad because people can play as any character they want and it makes no sence maybe the reason 99% of people dont subscribe is becaus you make stuff like this. and do you think the recources needed to make a skin are anywere close to the reasources needed to make a live event do you relley think epics gana make a whole live event for every skin? people enjoy playing as their favorite characters ,. if fortnite never made all the collabs they did and then told people what they missed out on the players whould be pissed . and i dont see you point on how the skins dont make sence all the marval skins make sence because its a marval season. the fallout collab made sence because it was a apocolaps season all of your points either are just plain wrong or dont make sence.
