The games change in pace is perfectly represented in their choice to add sliding, sprinting and parkour in the game. Where as back in the day you used to focus on aim now most fights just feel like a crumbled mess of people jumping sliding and climbing around

I have so many vivid memories with chapter one. Loading up season 5 as soon as it updated, season 8 came out on my birthday I believe, school having two-hour delays during season 7 so I would squad up to fill that time. I would not be friends with some of the people I am today if it wasn't for this game. Still got a bunch of random people from school added on Playstation just because I played with them once or twice. I've never enjoyed a game more than Fortnite c1s3-c1s7.

What made it so perfect is so much here’s my list: -movement, no strange uncomfortable camera angles, no tactical sprint, etc -graphics, no insane graphics just basic simple stuff -simplicity, no medallions, no bounties, no High tech weapons Everything was just so much better and I miss it

Luckily I managed to play season 3 when it was still fresh, it wasn’t as bare like season 0-2 but it was still simple. The whole landing at those small poi’s really brought back relaxing memories of just kicking back and playing Fortnite with my friends

I don't agree at all. Prime Fortnite was around season 7 - 8 for sure. You known the season 3 type of Fortnite couldn't last forever. You know that the competitive part has to pass by the fun. Just simply because we're human and we get bored after a certain time. So that's why season 7 is the best, it was the perfect switch between fun and competition. Ong if season 7 stayed forever, until today I would play the game, and that's the same for ALL the people I known, so it has to be the only true solution : bring back season 7.

I think the reason old fortnite's storyline was so good was becuase of how hidden it was, you got hints that you knew had to be connected to something, but unless you went out of your way to find things and theory craft, you wouldn't find anything. Everything was in hidden details. You had to put together your own theory of what the storyline was, now epic is just like, "here's the lore, and a new collab because we need more money"

Maybe it wasn't the game itself. Maybe it was that we were happier then, more carefree. Before all the stresses of life, heartbreak and hardships. In a sense all videogames have lost the magic because those happy days are over and we may never reach that level of happiness again.
