The thing about the friends income actually has a real background. After the first season the actors got different contracts with different pay, but the actors said NO. we are the show together and should be paid the same. They just wanted to avoid the grunch that could be if someone earned more than the others.

Pretty much every show reboot ruins it. They try to undo everything that was done and try to right perceived "wrongs," like adding more racial diversity and woking it up. The reboot of SATC is just painful. The only one I can think of that was actually good was Fuller House. They paid homage to the original show's general feel but modernized it a bit. And they put DJ and Steve back together instead of undoing someone else's relationship. I am glad they didn't reboot Friends, as much as I would have loved for the show to go on forever. They would have done something awful with Chandler's dad and probably would have broken everyone up again. It would have been awful. If they had rebooted it, it should have just been a movie or special that gave us a glimpse into their lives now without adding too much drama.

@@chipacita90 Of course it is. Nobody wants to say "I'm poor, please help me out." A good friend would notice you're struggling. And they're not just friends, they're family and close friends who spend all their time together, roommates even. Monica knows Rachel is a terrible waitress who doesn't get much in way of tips. Chandler knows Joey is a struggling actor who often can't pay his own bills (I will say, Chandler already helps Joey with his bills so that's very good of him). You pay attention to the lives of the people you care about. For instance, a couple weeks ago, a good friend of mine invited me to the movies. SHE invited ME, and there was an unspoken consent that we'd pay for our own bills since we always do that. But I know she was kicked out of her parents' house a couple years ago, she's been paying for her own tuition, and she's about to do a 2-month unpaid internship before graduating, so she's going to have no money coming in and still have rent to pay etc. I have no idea how much money she may have saved up until now, but it doesn't matter, I know things might be tight for a couple months. She's never complained about it. But I offered to pay her bill and would you believe it, she was very grateful. She never would have asked, but I just pay attention to her life and her career and I guessed she could maybe do with some help. If she had said no, no harm done, I wouldn't have insisted. But she was very happy. I think that's just being thoughtful and a good friend.

The "Bob" storyline has me in stitches every time. Poor Chandler was so excited and then he hears he was essentially too fast and "bumpy" 😂I die inside for Chandler during that scene but it's honestly one of the best twists (comedy wise). As for Phoebe, in real life, I wouldn't mind her as a performer (she's hilarious)...but on the side, because I prefer traditional music when I'm sipping coffee relaxing. And regarding that scene with the singer and Phoebe playing 'Smelly Cat'...Lisa Kudrow actually did that whole skit with Taylor Swift in concert if you ever want to check it out on youtube. PS: I also realised during episode 6 about my name. I've decided that I don't like hearing my name in shows/ movies. I don't know how you do it Thor, but it sounds weird and it feels weird haha. Loved the reaction though, and it's so nice reading how much other people are enjoying these reactions too! :)

I don't know if it's a thing people do in the US but it's crazy to me that instead of everyone just paying for what they ordered, they pay equally even though some people got a steak and others got a salad?! It's funny you mentioned that Adam Sandler movie because I thought you were talking about a different Adam Sandler movie, Big Daddy, where part of the plot is that he pretends to have a kid to pick up women (and the kid is played by the Sprouse twins, if you're a Riverdale or Suite Life fan lol). Chandler is my favorite but I didn't realize it until like the end of this season or the beginning of the 3rd season (it's been a long time sense I've seen the show). But up until then Phoebe was my favorite, I still adore her. Actually I really like all of them tho Ross is my least favorite of the group, character wise but that doesn't really come until later but the actor is just so funny it's hard to dislike him.

Condom guy is actor Giovanni Ribisi. He has a recuring part in the show later tho I dont think THIS particular character is meant to be the same character, they never tie it back anyway but if it IS the same one its kinda ironic and a little bit sad, cant really say anything more without going into spoilers so, Ill leave it at that. He was on a pretty decent career trejectory affter this, had some pretty decent parts and some really big movies but then kinda fizzled out, I dont know why. I rather liked him as an actor. "Fizzled out" is probably a harsh term, he still gets parts today (he was in both Avatar movies for example) butt he never reached main "character status" and was more or less relegated to the eternal side guy.
