@Plppin yes but also subbing will require more tactical thinking too and multiple position cards to have players play decent in multiple positions. I imagine it will get easier over the year as more cards get additional pluses or roles if not new positions

Seems like we need to setup a tactic for our subs team as well, so we optimize their playstyles too when they hop on the pitch. I thought we were getting 9 subs on our bench this year, which would have been really nice.

They just made the game further p2w with this. You were able to work with non-meta cards with proper instructions. But now you have to have the best cards with the most meta roles.

not really. i played it so far and pace is a lot less important so far i can easily get away and win with slower players so far. so you can easily use cards that aren't as meta

The formation u chose is the formation for att and defense.. the variation is when u att, the roles comes into play in terms of the specific position they r holding. It can be to the side or more central. But when u def it will be the formation, just the nature switches depending on focus. At least that's how I uds it is..

You can do it, but he will do it poorly If he doesnt have that Position and role.

I need help man… what are peoples defending setting and what are u guys doing when tackling? Iv always just pressed circle for a standing tackle but my players never seem to win the ball well… just goes back to the opposition or my player just cant get the ball but alot of the times my opponent is tackling me even when i have my back to them, like their player will wrap their leg around mines and win the ball cleanly… what am i doing wrong?

Hello, turn on advanced defending as it will allow you to challenge the players from the sides (by using their shoulder) also use standing tackle for a 100% committed challenge as your player will fully go for the ball. Also get close enough your defenders will manually defend themselves, use jockey to predict their movement. Hope this helped : )

One tip for you. Just turn the game off and save yourself months of misery. It doesn't matter what you do. Ea will fuck you over

you have to change to it in game. it's like a different gameplan. to make a completely new tactic go to squad select like before

Thank you for the reply. I go to tactics > create new tactic > name it > press edit tactic > the default formation is 433 holding > I change it to 442 > press save changes > that tactic then shows up as 433 still

@@adamcarlisle3698 when you go to team-management you have to edit the 4-3-3. or press triangle / y to activate the 4-4-2 you just made when you go into team management. otherwise it will just be a tactic you can switch to mid game

yes you can press the d-pad and switch to any tactic you made. based on the name you gave the tactic you know which one to pick

what do you mean? like make a RB a RM etc.? no you can't unless they have a role for that position or they will play worse if they don't have the roles that suit them

@@JAG-Twins i cant setup behavoir when losing the ball it is now linked with the line of defense setting. Buildup play can be set but not how the players do their runs and oberall mentality of the team. You cant set the width anymore. The list goes on and on. Player instructions is now replaced with roles and the roles are basic overall. I cant let specific Positions come close for buildup and i cant set positions to stay upfront to push the defense line. Most simple thing. My goalkeeper csn be set to libero but i cant set him to go outside for crossed. Why? I cant set the amount of players who enter the box when attacking nor can i set specific positions to enter the box when attacking. So that means i have no individual control over my tactics and bound to roles that are one dimensional and not helpful We have overall less options or have i overseen this?

@@hungder they removed and reduced some of this options because they where to OP and getting abused by people. there is a reason they removed direct passing because it was broken and terrible. and the amount of players that enter a box are based on the roles you pick. if you want 4 people in a box pick two inside-forwards and two strikers for example. and you can have players come closer for build-up if you set the build up to short passing and use roles to fit that. if you use a poacher for example they obviously wouldn't come as close as a the other 3 roles for example.

In efootball this is hardcoded into player IDs and player archetypes. its been this way for years. previously in fifa you went into tactical adjustments per player and did this. now they are using player archetypes JUST like efootball. you're focused on the name. im focused on the system.
