If traditional fgs continue existing after a very long time, part of the complaining boomers will have to use "modern controls" anyways. Then when that time comes, modern controls will no longer have an image of accessible feature for zoomers... it will include the boomers who are unable to keep doing the traditional commands.

Just like fighting games are about much more than the physical act of inputting motion commands. And modern isn't guitar hero, it's electronic instruments and synths. And people who use those instruments are just as much musicians as people who play non-digital instruments. Just realize that you are telling a disabled vet they shouldn't be able to enjoy a video game. Surely there's something in your life that's more worth gatekeeping than that. Remember, every single one of us is only temporarily able-bodied. Whether it's accidents, illness, or just aging, disability eventually comes for us all. A simplified control scheme doesn't hurt you, but benefits so many others. If you really do think it's better than classic, then either use it or don't complain about losing to it.

I'm a Modern control Kimberly player and yes I do lose a few things by using that set-up , but my strength is my speed and aggression (leads me to be countered) but as I learn to use that character, it is teaching me how plenty of mid-level players use the roster and how combos are a LOT of their lifeblood and breaking their routine gets me a few wins and at 62 years old and playing since 1987, it's fun to play with people that wasn't even born when I first played SF 1 and 2

About the audio, Justin did clarify in the last SF6 video that he forgot to have that turned on. So more than likely this video is probably part of the same stream as that video. If that's the case, then it makes sense why there's no audio again for this video. Give our boy JWong some slack. He'll correct it. Mistakes happen. Still a good video nonetheless. Let's be happy that his mic works 🤣

I think this misses the point. I think the majority of us don’t feel engaged without the sound and is almost unwatchable for many folks. Mistakes aside, I see that these videos are almost unworthy of being published because of that fact alone. I know it’s wasted time on camera, but the views will tank substantially for these few videos from that stream. It’s unacceptable in the future, definitely. Also, the volume of the OSTs in this video makes it very unpleasant as well, just as a note. Not all are the best tracks that could have been played on blast.

How do people feel about modern controls? I love SF6 but as I've grown older I struggle with the inputs on classic controls (arthritis) and when I go online I feel so cheap because I use modern controls which in turn discourages me to play online. Yeah modern isn't an auto win button like they keep telling ya, so feel free to use, choose the one that brings you the most joy and most comfortable. If you beat me bc I played worst than ya, not bc of your control type. Also, losing buttons and having to hold the assist buttons for moves is a big drawback, so Modern is not as free as every one made it out to be.

I prefer modern way more than classic. It is only really better at low level where your opponents drop simple combos and inputs. You can see most tournaments the top players aren't really using it. Biggest advantage is the 1 button supers and DPs

Thank you so much for this video. I always thought with modern controls you couldn't do some of the special moves line Raging Demon but you video showed it is possible. Under modern controls the Raging demon is LowAttack, LowAttack, Low+Med+HighAttack which is simpler than LowPunch, Forward, MediumPunch, MediumPunch, HighPunch under classic controls. There is absolutely no reason to not use modern controls and dump classic controls I guess.

Yes you can it’s not shown on the command list though it’s light light medium heavy. But I like to do it by having a button for all 3 punches so I can do 2 light punches then press the button since it’s easier for me since I’m used to forward medium like on classic.

Street Fighter 5, and it's changes to mechanics is why I abandoned the franchise. Seeing it take an even more stylized turn in SF6 really solidified that decision. Street Fighter used to be my absolute favorite of the genre. Sadly, now it's not even an afterthought.
