I did something simillar when I _distracted_ from fabric modding. The precisest "biggest" number is stored in double's class MAX_VALUE constant, so the real-est top is whatever the [Double.MAX_VALUE] expression output, but you got quite close to it I suppose. Also, try doing all of that but next to the world border while wearing a night vision potion. The world border will stretch above double max value (legit) and it itself will become vertical (very very stretched upwards, lines falling 89.99(9) degrees to the ground).

@@tristantheoofer2 double is a number system in computer science, it is basically floating point but with double precision. i don't program in java but like, i searched its max value in google and i found this: 1.7976931348623157E+308. edit: if you dont know, floating point is just numbers with decimal points in it, like, 3.2, pi and etc. floating point doesn't support integers that much, because it loses precision after 7 digits(float, not double).

Just for the record, 2^1024 is the number limit that was set for modern computers; a limit had to be set to separate a real value from what is effectively infinity. I think it's safe to say that number is a pretty good one.

@IDGCaptainRussia
@IDGCaptainRussia 2 ай бұрын
@@tristantheoofer2 It's not so much that we "need" numbers that large, but we need numbers as large as Doubles with higher precision and less floating point loss. (precision loss happens because there's only 32 bits in a floating point value, and having a higher number means there's less bits for the fractional part) For gaming, this is entirely people stress testing the limits of the game and 100% overkill. Numbers this huge, or atleast numbers above 2.14 billion with good precision floating points are important for scientific and industrial uses, and of course, computing in general. In short, yeah the limit of a 1024 bit number was set simply because, going any higher would be a waste of bits and highly redundant.

A bit of a suggestion when you're doing voice editing; It's fine to go back and redo a line, in case you trip over it. Keeping a consistent, flawless voice over will improve the content. What I usually do, is write down what I want to say aloud, and then follow it while recording. It makes it easier not to trip over words. Also, please try to cut out inhales and longer than average gaps in between sentences/words. The breathing sounds can be pretty distracting. Some extra time on the audio can make the listening experience so much better, and as a result, a much higher quality production.

Hey Jay, I doubt you're gonna see this but you should do more of this content. In Poland we had a youtuber who used to make videos like this almost a decade ago. And it wouldn't be a big deal if not the fact that things looked different back then. For example, version 1.6.1 had an actual fucking structure under bedrock (very few people know about this since it got removed a while later in 1.6.2). We also had like 4 different world borders and most people only know about the current one and the farlands while nobody remembers the 1.7 - beta 1.7.3 one. Hope that inspired you enough to do some research and maybe even talk about this in some video. Btw you're the most deserved youtuber on my subs list even though I just saw your channel.

I learned that not only is the world horizontally bigger than the sun, which is over 4 million km, or 4 billion meters, or 4 billion blocks, which I've learned from other vids, but it is also bigger than the observable universe vertically which I learned just now. That is insane, how do computers even do this stuff? 😆 Modern technology is amazing!! 😃 I still remember the nether reactor from bedrock/pocket edition, but technology has come so much further. It's crazy how much computers have improved in that time. 🤯
