Actually interesting thought! It's still graphite carbon so it still retains properties of carbon for "bioactive" use? What about soil enrichment?

That was a fabulous episode! I had no idea there was so much waste and possible inclusions that are generated in lab grown diamonds! It's a much different process than I imagined! I know with mined diamonds it takes so much heat and pressure and time, to make a diamond in the earth, and the possibility of inclusion can be much higher when they are forming in the earth, but I had no idea that you could get inclusions like that, where they can be loupe visible in a lab grown diamond! What a fascinating process! And those glow balls are just the coolest! I really do hope that they or someone can find a use for all the waste from this process. I mean if I was understanding correctly, then it has the hardness of diamond, just not the optical quality of diamond so there has to be a use for it somewhere! Right!?! That would be a cool episode, where everybody send in your thoughts and ideas for uses and test them out! Who knows, someone may actually have the perfect use for this stuff! Thank you Preston for the education and enlightenment! And you too Rebecca! Great show! ❤

I'm willing to bet that if you stepped on a glow-ball in the middle of the night, it would hurt waaaaaaaay more than stepping on a Lego block and it would not only pierce skin but would also imbed, like a splinter. Ouch! But on a more serious note, I've seen and heard from a many industry experts, including multiple shopping channels, that the science behind why and how all colored diamonds form is well established, except for pinks, yet I see lab grown pinks. Is that just to build intrigue and interest? Also, I'd love to see an addendum to this clip mentioning that CVD isn't necessarily the only step; some CVD diamonds additionally undergo HPHT to brighten and whiten. Thanks!
