How did a Nazi Officer become a Mossad Hitman?

In the 1960s, Israel's Mossad hired a former (and unapologetic) Nazi assassin to prevent Egypt from developing a missile program with the help of former Nazi scientists. This sensitive operation required the help of expert in psychological warfare and Mossad agent, Yosef Raanan.
Raanan supervised the operation to recruit former WW2 Nazi SS Lieutenant Colonel Otto Skorzeny, because of his personal connection to German scientists working on Egypt's missile program. But the recruitment of a Nazi who showed no remorse for his actions required caution, wile, and moral compromise. Although Israel was hesitant to work with a former Nazi, ultimately, Skorzeny’s insider knowledge was critical to successfully stopping a major threat to Israeli national security.

Do not trust what they tell... I visited their country in 1982 and they separated me from the rest of the people arriving in Tel Aviv and placed me with the Arabs arriving in their country and FORCEFULLY STRIPPED US COMPLETELY NAKED!!!! I started a new endeavor I was not trained for. Now; do their abuses and mistreatment provide me with the right to response by doing the same to others? Not to me. But they believe they do. My grandmother has a photograph of my grandfather with others soldiers from WW2 and this man is in the picture too. I don't know if my grandfather knew him personally or if he just happened to be there. My grandfather never talked much about what happened during WW2 but I wish he still here so I could ask him. I have so many questions but unfortunately he died in 2002. He was 94 years old. My mother still have some memorabilia, insignia and medal who belong to him.

Yeah he was tall. My grandmother showed me a picture of my grandfather with others soldiers from WW2 and this guy is in the picture too. My grandfather was 1.90m (6.2ft) and that guy appear taller. It's interesting stuff. I will surely do some research on where that picture was taken. My grandfather died in 2002 and he was very secretive about what he did during WW2. He never talked much about it and I was too respectful to ask questions. I assumed that if he didn't talk about it, it was better not to ask. My mother still have his insignia, medals, and other memorabilia.

It wasn't the first time. In the mid-30s -- before the Final solution had been decided upon -- there was cooperation between the Haganah and the SS. In the book Rise and Kill First, author Ronen Bergman describes this Mossad operation well. Skorzeny wanted a lifetime of immunity from prosecution, signed by then-Israeli PM Eshkol, and an Austrian passport. Yes, Skorzeny knew that Weisenthal had been after him for years, and Simon said no to the request made by the Mossad to remove this Nazi from the Nazi hunter's list. Skorzeny had been very influential with the Kristallnacht programs.

In 1968 my father was working in Madrid, Spain for a US Major Grain trading company. He was asked to receive this garbage of a man (by then Skorzeny owned his own grain trading company ). My father, a WW2 scholar knew who he was. My father made the SOB wait in the waiting room for 30 minutes. Then snuck out a side door to avoid meeting him. He noted as he was sneaking out after taking a peek his old facial scars. My father went against the telexed order from Minneapolis (HQ), out of principal , and told his bosses he would not meet him nor accommodate any business dealings with Skorzeny nor his company
