Nubia was a generic term; there were a few different groups in the South.
@ahmedanubis

Pre-dynastic Egypt had multiple kingdoms and early cultures, the first civilization however is Nagada 3, and as Mina unified the southern kingdoms and the northern one, Egypt became a much larger kingdom home to two peoples who would eventually mix to form the Egyptian ethnic group by the late old kingdom. Meanwhile, Nubia was still divided into many different ethnic groups like the yam, kushite, wawat etc... population density is one thing but having a fully united population is what gave Egypt an advantage in the region.

Jean-Francois Champollion: In his "Lettre à M. Dacier relative à l'alphabet des hiéroglyphes phonétiques," Champollion does not use the term "black" to describe the ancient Egyptians. Rather, he argues that they were of African origin, based on linguistic and cultural evidence. The full text can be found at the link I provided earlier. In his work "Bibliotheca Historica" (Historical Library), Diodorus Siculus proposed a theory that the Egyptian civilization had Nubian origins. He argued that the culture, religion, and knowledge of the ancient Egyptians had been heavily influenced by the indigenous people of Nubia. He based this hypothesis on his observations of the similarities between the two cultures and the existence of Nubian elements within Egyptian society and religion.

NUBIAN PHARAOHS AND MEROITIC KINGS: THE KINGDOM OF KUSH Necia Desiree It was at Meroe, the last empire of the Kush, that forty generations of Meroitic kings and queens continued the Kingdom of Kush reaching monumental and dynastic heights. Their symbiotic relationship with Egypt was over, allowing them to develop their own indigenous culture with a language and script of their own. Their architecture, arts , politics ,material and spiritual culture in the minds of many scholars surpassed that of Egypt. Over two hundred pyramids have been investigated. It is an epic that will be long remembered. The dawn of Christianity in the Kingdom of Kush has been found in the treasure cove of the Frescoes of Faras.

No- Nubia didn't become the principal power in the region strictly because of geography. Alexandria, Thebes, Memphis and Amarna ALL had ready access to the Mediterranean Sea, either being port cities themselves or by proxy of the Nile. They had more gold (even though the Egyptians were the first civilization to give it value as currency) and an excellent food source in the Nile River Delta. Had the Nubians gotten dominion over Egypt- the Hitites and Sumarians never would have been able to conquer the empire, due to geography (Assuming the Nubians wouldn't have moved thier capital to Thebes or Memphis)

@@WilliamGarrow At the 1974 UNESCO conference Egyptology was dealt a fatal blow. 2 African scholars wiped the floor with 18 world-renowned Egyptologists. They proved in 11 different categories of evidence that the ancient Egyptians were Black. The question of “What race were the ancient Egyptians?” was resolved at the historic international Cairo Symposium, held from January 28 - February 3, 1974. The United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) convened 20 of the world’s top Egyptologists to debate the race of the founders of ancient Egyptian civilization. It was assumed by the vast majority of European Egyptologists that the ancient Egyptians were either Caucasians or western Asiatics. At the conference only two African scholars, Cheikh Anta Diop and Theophilé Obenga, held that the Egyptians were black Africans, while the other participants took opposing positions against the Diop-Obenga thesis. Armed with a formidable body of evidence from numerous academic disciplines, Diop presented specific information to prove the black origins of Kemet. It is obvious from the conference report that Diop dominated the proceedings, and confronted with his solid arguments, most of the participants changed their positions during the conference. It is clear that the participants abandoned the old Caucasoid and western Asiatic theories and the conclusion of the official UNESCO report indicates the triumph of Diop and his colleague Obenga.

Does anyone think Eumelanated African people in those days had special powers with their skin? We know today we can still absorb energy from the sun with our Eumelanin, and Eumelanin is a great conductor of electricity. Does anyone have the feeling that in those days they converted their absorption of the sun in large groups into a form of electrical powers to being able to see in the dark and lift heavy object on a high vibrating frequency?

ROFL David, did you know I had a history degree and would attempt to answer your question? Tricky question but you are missing the Kingdom of Askum (King Caleb who conquered Arabia, and Yemen (current day) then King Ezana. So depending on the time frame Ethiopia, Ta-Seti, Kush, and Current day Sudan are all in the same place. But the tricky part of your question is Nubia would have controlled that entire region, and then later the Kingdom of Askum would have controlled the entire region. So in the bible when they say Kandake queen of Ethiopia it's actually current-day Sudan (Meroe). Kingdom of Kush. Ta-Seti. would have been in Nubia/Ethiopia/Current day Sudan and Ethiopia and Eritrea.

@@soda8736 I'm speaking in terms of Mizraim, the patriarch of the Egyptians and Cush, the patriarch of the Cushites, from whom the Nubians descend. Cush and Mizraim are brothers, with Cush being the oldest and more diverse. Theses peoples were living in the Saharan Highlands before the area became arid. Afterwards, moving into the Niger and Nile Valleys and other places. I think this important in beginning to understand how these people are related. Western historians try to separate these people, but they are kinsmen. Take for example the Francs from whom France gets its name from and the Germans. Both speak different languages and have different cultures; however, they're both Germanic peoples. To say the Egyptians were writing before the Nubians just doesn't add up. These peoples were too close. Furthermore, the biblical histories of these two peoples confirms this familiarity.

I wouldn't just say this as there have been some attempts to white wash Sub-saharan Africa despite the appearance of the people there. It's called the "Hamitic hypothesis" and they basically believed that white caucasians built ancient Kush and Axum, but due to mixing with Africans they lost their white skin. Ultimately, Egypt's contributions to the world makes it so great that they can't resist claiming it.

❌❌ This is a forgery. The twenty-fifth dynasty itself wrote that they are the kings of Upper Egypt and Lower Egypt, and it is written in hieroglyphs in more than document that the Kushites are descendants of the kemetians. So Kush is not a different kingdom. Kush is the largest province in the Kingdom of Upper Egypt, about half its area or more, and also the White Crown and the religion of Horus appeared in Nubia of Egypt, and Amun himself was born in Jebel Barkal in Sudanese Nubia. so more than the traditions appeared among us the Nubians (Kush)

Egypt had more access to the Mediterranean and was pretty much the link of Eurasia. They had agricultural contributions from Natufians, booming cosmopolitan influences from Greece in Macedonia, and contributions fron Romans in infrastructure. Nubia still goated tho but I would attribute Egypt's fame just to its general fame to others in the Mediterranean world.

Egypt is 5,500yrs old Greek is 3,400yrs old Rome is 2,000yrs old The architecture and writing systems both greek and rome came from Egypt.

That is a complete lie and fabrication of history. Nubia never ever became to be a nation state with centralized government and unified language like Egypt, never. They were ,at best a city state occupied by ethnic elite of rulers, priests surrounded by multicultural and multiethnic villages that used as laborers and army recruits . Their first writing system was copied from Egyptians' hieroglyphics 2600 years after Egypt invented it. Ta Seti, genius, was an enclave of 5 square mile that acted as an autonomous nome to upper kingdom of Egypt. They totally disappeared during a purge campaign in the events of the unification off upper and lower Egypt. The first sednatry society on earth developed in the levant and spread to Mesopotamia and Egypt. Nubia developed out of influence from Egypt, and the further you traveled south, then, the more come in contact with hunter-gatherers and UT remained that way for thousands of years. Stop fabricating fabricating history . You know that you are lying because what you claim is totally made up by you that cannot be substantiated by any crediable evidence

Ethiopia created the Hieroglyphic writing system. Ta Seti (Nubia) is the world's oldest civiization which extended from Sudan to Southern Egypt (Indigenous population called Kermet) this region was also referred to as ancient Ethiopia, which sounds like more than just 5 miles enclave region. To say Nubia never became this or that, you seem to be unaware of the 25th Dynasty of Egypt and those who ruled in Nubia before that. Arabs, Greeks and Roman's certainly went into Egypt, ruled, developed, killed and enslaved but they certainly aren't indigenous to any part of Africa. It is hard to research what one has never been taught, but once prompted things become very interesting.

@moatazel-shafie3689 Жыл бұрын
@@DavidJohnson-dc8lu Also, indigenous people did not call their country Kemet, you illiterate. Kemet meaning black land was in reference to the colour of the silt of the Nile valley but Egypt included the Dshret or the red land in reference to the desert. The name Eithiopia is originally Greek, meaning Charred faces and was what the classical Greeks called Nubia. The the was usurped by Ezana of Aksum when he destroyed Nubia in the 4th A.D.
@billiondollarambition
@billiondollarambition Жыл бұрын
@@DavidJohnson-dc8lu actually Ethiopia stems from the Greek word Aithiope which translates to burnt face, the modern day Ethiopians have nothing to do with Kemet, they are Afro Asiatic Semetic speakers. In the book "Ancient civilizations of Africa", Egyptian scholar Gamal Mokhtar admitted that the inventory of hieroglyphic symbols is entirely based on "Nilotic fauna and flora, thus proving that the writing is of purely African origin", although he acknowledged the geographical location of Egypt made it a receptacle for foreign influences. The Ta SETI spoke Nilo-Saharan language so the common denominator is the Medu neter & culture was created by Nilotic people(ANCIENT: Sudan, South Sudan, Egypt, Ethiopia , Kenya ect.) who were indigenous to the Nile . The Nehesu people is what later was translated as nergos to take black people out of Egypt. The Remetu(Egyptians)in The Book of gates are identical with Nehesu(Black Africans).

Ancient Egypt is a Meditranian civilization, just like ancient greece and rome are also Meditranian civilizations. Egypt has much more in common with the near east civilizationd than with nubia and other like civilizations south of Egypt, same goes for ancient greeks and rome had more in common civilization wise with middle east than with Germania, Celts and most other European civilizations. Mesopotamia is the oldest civilization and not egypt nor nubia. Nubia was influenced by Egypt like how celts and germanians were influenced by ancient rome. What if white supremacists proclaimed Germanians influenced ancient greece and rome, Germanians originating their civilizations, while leaving out the fact, Greece and Rome originally were influenced by middle easterm civilizations. Ancient rome and greece had much more in common with middle estern civilizations than with the civilizations north of them in europe civilization wise. Nubians were like the Germanians and Celts to ancient Egypyians. I am white and my ancestors were from north western europe, i have no problem with my ancient ancestors not being anywhere near as advanced as Meditranian civilizations. If greece wasn't in close proximity to the middle east, there wouldn't have been an Ancient greece civilization, yes most Greeks were white and olive color people but it was all about learning from others and making it their own over time. Ancient Egypt had a reciprocal influence with Middle East and later other parts of the Meditranian region in all 3 continents

I believe that further research into African history and prehistory will reveal that the Nile Valley was NOT the first established states and civilizations in Africa, just the best documented. Stop me if I'm wrong, but neither the Nubian or Kemetic people ever claimed to be the first state builders, which is odd because African civilizations are typically very quick to claim authorship over almost anything, even when these claims are in direct conflict with other claims. Human beings began in Southern Africa and have existed in Africa for 300,000 years and I do not believe, in any way shape or form, that Africans never thought of establishing cities and states until they made their way all the way up to the Nile Valley, ON THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE CONTINENT. Very little archeological research is done on the African continent because 1) African governments lack funding, 2) European governments do NOT want to find any form of civilization in Africa AND THEREFORE THEY AREN'T LOOKING FOR ANY!!! The more research I do the more it seems to point to West Africa possibly being the author of the urban way of life we call civilization. Plato even states that Egyptians speak of a powerful state in West Africa flourishing in 9,600 B.C., and described it as the richest state in human history, and as we know, economics facilitates urban development and West Africa has always had the economics, BY FAR!!! The West African Empire of Mali is said to have controlled over half the world's supply of gold and salt BY ITSELF!!! - and that doesn't even include the Ashanti gold fields, also in West Africa. It's also not surprising that evidence affirms West Africans travelling the world and trading in Mexico (Olmecs) and all the way to India. West Africa has been the most urbanized part of Africa (possibly the world) for most of human history. Benin City in West Africa (never mentioned by Eurocentrists) was possibly the largest city in the world 400 - 500 years ago. At that time, London (England's biggest city) contained 60,000 people, and Benin City was reported to possess a standing army of 180,000 soldiers. So basically, BENIN CITY HAD 3X MORE SOLDIERS THAN LONDON HAD PEOPLE!!! It was also so large that the city walls surrounding all the suburbs were comparable to the Great Wall of China. Of course, Europeans never mention this, and MOST Africentric scholarship is OBSESSED with Kemet and the Nile Valley (for whatever reason) and have neglected the entire rest of the continent. I can go on and on about this subject.
