I was going to say the same. That C-Max would have got out on tick-over no problem. No doubt the driver will blame the car rather than his poor driving when the clutch begins to slip. And as for his towing technique, was there even any attempt to let the rope take up the slack?

I have a Citroen dispatch the air intake is really low you can see it from the side .I never knew how low .I won't be going through anything that looks deeper than tire thickness .

Tom Sunderland they is a plastic corrugated pipe that goes from the air filter box to the bumper behind it on them year vw lupo polo golf and the rest have that pipe supposed to drain water out the filter box but in his case it’s become a giant water vacuum.

Old vws have leaky seals on the pcv system on the back of the engine allowing water to be drawn in. Not necessarily terminal and if you replace the seals it shouldn't happen again.
