For everyone with the 5.0 Cummins the float in the coolant reservoir will go bad and trip a code for coolant reservoir sensor. It will put motor into reduce power mode. After dropping 600 bucks for parts and labor I found out that you can remove sensor from under the reservoir tank, disconnect it from the plug, clear code with scanner, then install it again and let it dangle outside the reservoir. It will keep check engine light on but no reduction of motor power. This will give you time to purchase another coolant reservoir.

I also had this problem and went through 2 coolant reservoirs, since you can't just replace the sensor. I got the code with the new reservoir. Just as you mentioned, I found out you can disconnect the sensor from the bottom and drop it without any coolant leakage. So I dropped the sensor and left it electrically connected. I wire wrapped a steel rod to the sensor bottom to extend the sensor up overall lowering the sensor 1-2" in the reservoir because I still wanted to get a low coolant code, but didn't feel good at it being nearly full empty. I have had no issues since I did this. Seems the sensor is a little higher than it should be when the sensor installed all the way up which can set the code.

I don't know what all the tunes are like, but the tune I bought, 0hp, left the compressor and turbine maps basically stock. Not only do you leave a ton of economy on the table, you're pushing the turbos and engine way harder than it needs to. The interaction between the turbos, and the hand off from the small turbo to the large turbo is very important to be aware of. Drive pressure ratio is almost universally at least 2:1. Another thing to consider is that without the dpf there isn't the big reserve of back pressure to help manage the turbines. As a result the turbos end up hunting. I'm diving into tuning mine myself... I'm getting the turbos much closer to where I want, but I still haven't got the fault code block list right for the delete and I haven't figured out how to get below a drive pressure ratio of 2:1. I'm starting to think I might have to spin the big turbo right from idle to achieve 1:1.

I have the same truck a midnight edition. I just did the weight loss, and I suggest you cutting the ports/vents on your exhaust end. Will make the truck sound a whole lot better. And more coal

I have a 120 horse ctt tune. I get shift flares at lower speeds shifting mainly 3rd to 4th. Have you had any issues with this? I’m told these trucks are trans locked and cannot tune trans.

Deleting it will fix that. The crankshaft issue is overheating and lack of lubrication caused by regen cycles dumping fuel into the cylinders causing the oil to be diluted by fuel. These are very reliable trucks when deleted early.

It shifts very weird and sometimes feels strange idk exactly how to explain it but it's like it struggles to get to power but then it doesn't, I'm thinking about switching tunes
