Thank you for showing that area again. My grandmother lived in Three Forks, MT, another 39 miles downstream from Ennis on the Madison, the night of the quake. They had everyone along the Madison on high alert to evacuate in case the slide dam broke through. The ACOE did a fantastic job digging the channel through the slide to get the lake level down and prevent a catastrophe downstream. Survivors of the quake trapped in the canyon went to Hebgen Dam and wrote out SOS in the dirt, eventually to be airlifted out. So violent was the quake that Hebgen Lake and Dam actually tilted several feet, sloshing water from one side to the other like water in a shallow bowl. It overtopped the dam and threatened to take it out, making the threat of downstream flooding even more ominous. There are places where the shore was relocated.... some areas high and dry and others inundated. My grandmother said that night was the scariest night she'd ever had. Your travels to familiar places hopefully inspire all of us to be better stewards of the land and keep it ready for succeeding generations. Unfortunately at Yellowstone (and many other special places), we're loving it to death. Please keep the pristine nature of your videos at the top of the production list so we can appreciate what we have. And BTW, with RVs, it's ALWAYS something. . . All the best.

I hated Brussels sprouts when I was a kid,but I figured out later that it was because my mom was a terrible cook. When you’re a kid,you think your moms cooking is the best.Truth finds its way into your life later. My wife can totally throw down in the kitchen and her Brussels sprouts(and everything else she makes)are damn good.

When I was visiting Yellowstone to see my daughter, she was working at Mammouth Lodge for the summer of 2002….She was driving my rental car headed south and we came up to a large buffalo in the middle of the road. We were at the front of the line…in a red rental! However, he looked at us and started walking over to our car. He and I made eye contact! Then he walked over to my side and put his huge head in the window and we both stared at each other! His nose was about 5 inches from my face! He was very calm and I told him he was very beautiful! My daughter did not speak or make any sudden moves! He stayed there in my window for about 3 minutes! I was so thrilled of this encounter! The he walked back to the center of the road and called to his ladies! There must have been over 30 ladies and their babies crossing the road from the wooded area and over to the huge pasture / savannah area! That was a one of a kind, never to be experienced again! I SMELLED HIS BREATH! He was very respectful and I was in awe! I really wanted to touch him, but, thought that may not be a good idea. That was the highlight of my whole life! 😱 🫣 🥰

I am a first responder with two young children and the last few years have been perticularly difficult. This spring I was diagnosed with anxiety and have chosen to not use medication rather train myself to relax and take time to reflect and it's helping immensely. My wife and I bought a Salem FSX 177BH and have taken to camping with our kids. I am sooo glad I found your channel and I have watched all your videos since you bought the trailer. I can literally feel the stress melting off me while watching your videos. I love your adventures and please keep up the great work. Best of luck and you have a subscriber in me now!

I too lived through the 1994 Northridge quake and that was the last straw for me. Never been THAT close to a BIG OLE Bison! The Eagles hunting and perching was very cool. Living on the CA central coast being in rain and thunder was pretty sweet.... but that dinner with 'sproutes/etc looked so yummiest! Old friend lives in Absarokee and suffered considerable damage on his ranch, during the river changing course due to the rains/flood. Trailer woes happen to us all. Hang in there. Thank for helping me live vicariously in the wild. Be Careful ans Safe. May God Bless

We full-timed in our motorhome for 7 years and now make month or two longer trips in the winter. The only issue we ever had was in Portland Oregon area, someone stole our bikes while we were staying in a trailer park sort of place in the city. Other than that time have never felt unsafe or need to carry a weapon. As Catherine mentioned probably is safer outside a city. Generally folks look out for each other. If have an uncomfortable feeling about some place, move on, you will be mobile. Go for it and good luck.

Just like in a sticks n bricks, home maintenance is just a necessity. Thanks for this gorgeous view into Yellowstone and into life on the road. On my truck cap (a used truck cap), the gaskets around the rear window are leaking, so I’ve ordered a new gasket and will be installing it when it finally arrives. Being an adult is really a pain sometimes, but it is equally astonishing in a beautiful way.

I haven’t actually stayed in more than 2 national parks. My favorite camping is in state parks. They are always incredibly beautiful, reasonably priced, include great education opportunities and offer a nice break from off-grid living, given most have either electric and/or water, or both. Plus, they offer hot showers in bath houses, which delays need for dumping and reduces need to tank watch.

Just clicked on your video a few minutes ago Catherine and I had the same problem with my RV water heater. From what I understand these RV manufacturers order these water heaters in bulk orders a whole lot of them came with poorly made control modules attached to the water heater that controls the igniter. If you're water heater isn't to difficult to access it only takes about 5 minutes to replace it. God bless and thank you for the great videos!🌄🤓🇺🇸😎

Quake Lake. Been there several times. In fact, I was there 8-18-22, the day after you were there. Would have been a treat to meet you. Came from the west, and then visited the Grizzly and Wolf Recovery Center in West Yellowstone. I really enjoy your easy-going, laid back style. And your cinematography is superb. Keep up the good work Cat. 🖖 Oh, BTW, about 30 years ago I was sitting on a Honda Goldwing, in Yellowstone, waiting on a huge bull walking straight towards me right on the center line. Then he stopped. Absolutely the longest 3 minutes of my life.

On the Brussels Sprout question: yes, I often grill them, or bake with onions and a variety of seasonings. One method is to cup up a few slices of bacon, season with salt and pepper, maybe garlic or garlic powder. You can substitute Olive oil and sauté them too. Friends who claim they’d never eat them, say they like them cooked this way.

Seeing that Bison walk down the road... Kinda' made me sad. I'm glad people can see them...but I just kept thinking about the time when much of the country was teaming with thousands upon thousands of them. Seeing the dichotomy of this great animal amongst modern vehicles got me thinking of how we have lost touch with nature somehow... Anyhow... good video and yes on the Brussel Sprouts.

Awesome video Cat! It’s very cool that the bison chose to walk so closely by your left side. In the Native American belief system the bison is all about abundance. The left side represents the heart and what you are receiving. Great abundance is coming to you Catherine. And it will be very close to your heart of hearts. ❤️🙏🏻

A beautiful drive thru eastern Montana .... a few years past that area had a lot of activity when the Forest Fenn Treasure Hunt was going on .. Earthquake Lake ,, Hebden Lake and all around West Yellowstone were all places of much interest .... Good to hear you found a service shop for needed repairs .... going to be a number of lessons learned ,, just need to ask questions and journal the how to's for any future issues when out away from any help ... The Bald Eagles ...Very Cool !! ...

Hello Catherine, I love Yellowstone too. It's just so AMAZING to witness the beauty of this park. I can remember when my brother and I were heading east out of Yellowstone and it was daylight still and then all of a sudden we got stopped by a bison jam...and we sat for about 1 hour just watching this in amazement...as we where trying to get to Cody,WY during what was left of daylight😊😊. Catherine, this was an amazing watch. OUTSTANDING VIDEO👍👍👍👍👍👍.

I love roasted Brussels sprouts. Fortunately, I now have an oven in my small travel trailer, and they can of course always be “roasted” in a cast iron pan. They are excellent food for my microbiome.

Coincidentally, I also like Brussel sprouts in butter but what’s really crazy, I just returned from a post circus (ie Labor Day camping trip) at Rob Roy Reservoir in Wyoming where my hot water heater went out on my 5 month old Cherokee Wolf Pup. So on my way home near Denver I stopped in where I purchased it and low and behold it was nothing more than a 3 inch wire sensor connector that got to hot. Replaced in minutes and on my way. Shout out to Cousins R.V. cashier/ tec in Longmont for his easy prompt help.

Lovely video! Your photography and editing are stellar, and the editing is superb. Loving your musical selections, too. Yellowstone is just the jewel in the crown of our NPS, we are so lucky to get to see it. RVing certainly has its challenges, doesn’t it? You have a very positive attitude through it all. (Well we don’t get to hear the bad words, I bet!)
