Thanks Mr Bicen. I self-taught maths in 12 months alongside a full time job, which was slightly stressful and certainly daunting at the start of the process. Finding your videos was an absolute godsend, and helped me get the A* that I very much doubt I could have achieved without having access to such an organised series of lessons across the whole course. I was shooting for the top grade based on last year's grade boundaries. When i saw them go up again this morning, I thought I had no chance, but I ended up getting 256/300, a higher combined score than any of the past papers. @@aysen5061 do the hardest questions you can find. I’d even recommend doing some further maths integration (the easier side that is on the normal maths syllabus) because they are a lot more challenging. you just need to keep practicing - I hated trig proofs start of y2 but my teacher gave a handout of 32 really hard ones and I remember staying up past 12 to finish. obviously don’t wear yourself out everyday. you just got to tell yourself you can do it - that’s what I did with proofs - and overtime your brain will start to pick up on the methods to use a lot easier

A* AAA. Slightly disappointed as have done better in mocks, but comfortably made my offer to study maths at Lancaster so happy about that. Maths A* 284 Further Maths (FM1/FP1) A 259 The grade boundaries for FM just seem far too high, especially for FM1/FP1 ! They need to start writing harder papers next year so that it doesn't come down to messing up 1 or 2 questions, or making silly mistakes!

I got 259 in 3A 3C. Feel disappointed that that's only an A, in any other year it would be an A*. Edexcel made the papers far too easy this year, such that messing up on one question or making silly mistakes really costed.

I think trying for a remark is a good idea - I have never before seen a jump this high. It is all because of the FP1 paper with the ridiculous A* boundary - that was not a well designed paper at all. Congrats on the A, I hope it will convert!

@@DegenPlayz start EARLY! to get better at maths is definitely little and often if you're on a time crunch, learn from getting your answers wrong, instead of trying to understand the content, because that can be time consuming practice really does make perfect and don't give up i know it can be frustrating but keep at it, for stats and mechanics 100% get mr bicen's course it was a lifesaver for someone like me who thought applied maths was impossible, sending best wishes!!

I’m not sure tho whether it’s to do with the fact I did 4, or if the uni knows I only missed out by 1 mark. Lots of my friends missed their grades though whilst applying to Russel group unis and still got in :))
