This video is incorrect. Ajax didn’t lose faith in him. They kept on paying his salary during his suspension and they even wanted to extend his contract. His contract was due to expire at the end of the season. he refused to extend and left on a free transfer to inter. This was not appreciated by Ajax and it’s supporters because Onana didn’t show respect to the club that kept on paying him despite his mistake.

De Gea is an outdated goalkeeper which is why United didn't offer him a new contract. He wasn't press resistant which meant that he could be pressed into conceding goals, He wasn't a good sweeper which made it easier for counter attacks against Manchester United and he had poor distribution. Onana is world class at all these things, while De Gea was just a good shot stopper. Keeping De Gea would have held back our game.
