Baking soda and white vinegar and a qtip will clean the battery compartments. Peroxide works too. Just clean with a qtip then wipe out and let dry. I have fixed so many dancing toys this way and yes, take out your batteries.

That’s a great idea to put the sale on KZbin, keeping whatnot open on my phone all night kills my battery and I can watch KZbin on my tv and still jump on to buy when you go over something I like! Otherwise I have to log off when my phone goes low.

I'm always so googly-eyed at your stores! Around here the Halloween stuff is just a short shelf of dollar store stuff, wigs and costume accessories past their prime, and recent pumpkin pails. And I'm talking about several stores, regular trips, and maybe 2-3 things a year worth buying. 😭 I think I need to relocate, lol!

Sometimes I wipe the battery compartment with white vinegar to clear the corrosion and it works again. It doesn’t help if the corrosion is really bad but if it’s light corrosion it will help.

Can’t believe you found LIGHTED ICE bulbs. Yes that is what they are called. That string with the vacuum cleaner plug is a common repair. My son would have flipped as he collects antique Christmas lighting. Good finds ladies!!

You have 2 different batches of the round sugared light sets. The original set has less sugar style crystals covering the glass bulbs, so you can clearly see the glass under the crystal coverings. The color came from the glass bulbs not the crystal pieces. The bulbs with much thicker layers of Crystal's are younger bulbs. These glass bulbs were and are great as they never got so hot it became a danger to have them on your real trees, or much too hot to touch! Stayed fairly cool to the touch! Yes, they did get warm, but not hot! Mom bought ours in the mid 1960's! The cord string on yours is MUCH MUCH OLDER than the sixties! I have several of those strings, working and they are younger than the even OLDER, thread or cloth wrapped light cords & sockets, that were pre red and green light strings! As that very old plug is open to the electrical units I would NOT use that string! Christmas light cords are still purchasable to use with your round sugared bulbs! Any string that still holds the older small version, of the BIG outdoor light bulbs, works for your round Christmas light bulbs! Those lights were a very long lived, extremely popular, Christmas lights sets, for several reasons! If and when you sell that light string, add a disclaimer of safety warning against using that plug until it is checked and repaired with a new barrier installed, or altogether replaced. The string is still very collectable.

I've been buying a lot of parachute fabric plush the last two years and I bought the especially cute scarecrow and the witch, too! You found great items! Goodwill has the scream masks that they ordered as new Halloween, so be aware. There are a lot of them out there now.
