Hi Mathew, thank you for continuing to react to Helluva Boss episodes. Just to let you know, the actual season one finale episode is not Ozzie's, it's actually Queen Bee. The production for the Queen Bee episode got seriously held back so they made the decision to just keep releasing the episodes and then release Queen Bee whenever it was ready to air, which is why the episodes may appear out of order for you. I just don't want you to be confused later when you do get to the Queen Bee episode and are confused by the timeline. Also, Please keep reacting to Helluva Boss episodes, your fans demand It!

0:14 I'm glad to hear public opinion on Season 2 has shifted heavily since Oops, to the point it could potentially be seen as better than the (in my opinion) chaotically perfect Season 1. I honestly have loved Season 2 throughout (aside from the Barbie plot in Unhappy Campers), but I remember fan reception being lukewarm for 1-3, and a definite dark age of hate for 4-5. Then Oops comes out and the love for this series rightfully trumps most unsolicited criticisms over the series which I'm sure the creators either had no control over (you can't really change the plot and character dynamics when your halfway through animating an episode) or do plan to address and correct over the future 32 episodes. Haters may groan at that number, but fans who have been seeing the character development blossoming in just episodes 9-10 should be hyped beyond belief we have 32 more episodes down the line to grow them even more, and the creators have proven they do have the writing chops to pull it off. The series isn't perfect, but it's still a cathartic blast of miraculous animation and fearless storytelling to me. Regardless of whether it's focus is on being a comedy or drama, or even if it becomes a low-stakes slice-of-life show, it doesn't decrease its value as an extremely well produced passion project.

This episode really is something else, just an absolute roller coaster through Stolas' past! But as others have pointed out, you did actually miss an episode Mathew. Season 1 Episode 8: Queen Bee. Thats the actual finale of Season 1, though it got released late due to legal issues regarding its guest actor. So I can't blame you for missing it if you just went looking through upload dates. Still you won't lose too context if you just watch that before going into Season 2 Episode 2. Plus Season 1 Episode 8 has a banger of a song.

0:25 As far as I have heard (someone correct me if I'm wrong) Helluva Boss was made as an "in-between" or like to keep up the hype while Hazbin Hotel was being made, since they could do Helluva Boss as they please, since Hazbin was under the Amzon Prime team. So, in that case I wouldn't doubt that they were putting as much thougt into it in season 1, and then they realized how much people likes it and developed the story more in season 2. As well as the fact that they probably learned alit and improved while making Hazbin.

I think that’s actually a poorly presented plot point in an otherwise well-written episode. After the scene where they talk about selling Blitzø, his dad says “you are going to spend the day with [Stolas].” So, while it’s still an atrocious move on his dad’s part and the gravity of them casually talking about buying/selling him was upsetting, I don’t think Blitzø was actually sold to Paimon for longer than that one day

Something I find funny is that Vivienne claims the pilot is non-canon, yet this episode has context behind a scene from it. I don't know if you're going to watch all of season 2, if you do so please just do it in order, but if you're only going to do a select few I recommend watching Episode 6 of season 2 (called "Oops") to see what happened that made Fizz hate Blitz (I recommend that episode anyway, it's probably my personal favorite)
