How the ownership of the Elder Wand moved from Dumbledore to Harry?
Dumbledore became the master of the wand after defeating Grindelwald, Draco disarmed Dumbledore in the astronomy tower and became the new owner, Harry took Draco's wand out of his hand, which counts as winning a duel against Draco, and therefore Harry became the last owner of the Elder Wand.

This is pretty simple to answer really. It's revealed that for the ownership of the Elder Wand to be transferred to someone else, they have to disarm, defeat or kill the previous owner. In HBP, Draco disarmed Dumbledore, but didn't kill him. Hence, the ownership transferred to him. Voldemort didnt realise this and thought Snape was the owner and hence killed him. Harry did realise it, disarmed Draco at Malfoy Manor, claimed ownership over the wand and defeated Voldemort using it. Voldemort lost cause the Elder Wand's owner was Harry himself, the person he was fighting.

You need not kill someone to get the ownership of the wand just disarming or snatching it from their hand is enough

@@dhrithim2877 Yes exactly. Thats what I wrote. Draco disarmed Dumbledore, and Harry disarmed Draco. So Harry became the owner of the Elder Wand. It doesn't even matter if you disarm the owner even if he isn't using the Elder Wand.

@WiiManElite Yes, and because of that Voldemort couldn't win. Harry was the master of thr Elder Wand in the final duel, so there was little chance that Voldemort would be able to defeat the owner of the Elder Wand while he possessed it himself.

I´m pretty sure the ownership of the Elder Wand is now already unknown because Harry had became an auror, actively duelling both during training and in real fight. And I won´t believe that he had never been disarmed even once for decades.

This was the only part of the books that felt convoluted and internally inconsistent. Elder Wand ownership should have been Dumbledore to Snape to Voldemort to Harry. Harry (with Draco's wand) beating Voldemort (with the Elder Wand) should have been focused on Harry overcoming Voldemort personally, not wand lore. Then Harry's triumph would have earned him ownership of the elder wand. He would have used his new found power to repair his old wand, then destroyed the elder wand out of humbleness and precaution. It would have been a better, more logically consistent ending.

You simply can't over one of the most strongest evil wizard of all time with the most powerful wand of all time supporting him. Idk how dumbeldore did it with grindelwald, but dumbeldore is one of the strongest, Harry isn't, he's just a simple boy.

Yes, Voldemort is one of the most powerful wizards of all time, yes the elder wand does unlock even more of his potential. But Harry is not just some random guy; he is the "marked by the dark lord to be his equal." Harry shares in Voldemort's power, his dueling aptitude is beyond question, his qualifications in DADA were even enough to impress the proctors on the OWLs and eventually led to him becoming an Auror. Say what you will about Harry but 2 things that can not be taken from him are his skills in combat magic (look at the battles in years 5, 6, and 7) as well as his proficiency on a broom. If Dumbledore can overcome Gridelwald on skill alone, then Harry can certainly overcome Voldemort (especially considering the weakened state he was in by the time of their final duel). I look forward to your response.

i think draco intentionally and accidentally gave the wands to harry out of fear and confusion. draco could easily resist harry if draco wants to. but he can get easily confused and frighten..

Harry would have died for sure. Also since both of their original wands had the same Phoenix hair... they both couldn't kill each other with those wands to begin with. Voldemort needed a different wand to kill Harry and what is a better choice than the most powerful wand in the Wizard world? Unfortunately his plan backfired when it wasn't Snape who was the owner and he kills Snape thinking it made him the owner of the wand.

Snape killed dumbledore the wand still belongs to draco harry snatched the wand forcefuly to draco. not the elder wand. the elder wands secretly turned its allegiance to harry from overpowering draco. now harry is the new master of the wand.. they burried the wand together with dumbledore. voldemort took the wand from dumbledores grave the loyalty of the wand still remains to harry voldemort not knowing the wands true mastert then killing snape assumming snape is the true master from killing dumbledore. thats why voldemort lost from harry even voldemort is way more powerful. the wand will not kill its true master.

Don't tell me Dumbledore fought against Grindelwald hand a hand. Box match? Kickbox match? Don't tell me it was a boxers kind a fight not wizards. But whatever it would be nice to watch. I can't pretend they have already destroyed new serie of Harry Potter world what contains bunch of great actors. I wish there was a better way to tell the story of Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them. We love Harry Potter anyway. We are gonna watch every new thing about this beautiful world don't we?
