I believe in that fat Buu, before the split, was the most powerful form of Buu prior to the Buuhan form. But with the Lord of Lords, the dai kaioshin inside of him, his power was greatly suppressed. Not less powerful, just not able to fully access it. What made Kid Buu so dangerous wasn't his power level, but his total lack of restraint. Kid Buu had no issues blowing up planets while still on them just to have fun, relying on his regeneration to survive, without any kind of instruction or anything. Super Buu could have done that after killing almost all the humans but had no desire to destroy the planet. Fat Buu rarely even did property damage, and only killed because someone told him to. Once Hercule stepped in, he instantly stopped killing at all. But Kid Buu... Just didn't care. At all. About anything. The kind, gentle natures of the Kai's boosted suppressed, not lowered, the power of Buu, as well as making him more tame and easier to control. At least, that's what I believe. I could be wrong, but that's my opinion.

Super Buu and Kid Buu were definitely more powerful than Fat Buu even before the split. Especially Super Buu! Look how TERRIFIED Piccolo was at how much stronger he sensed Buu had gotten!

@@forcecalibration924 Buu splitting affected his power. Because of the split, fat Buu lost more than half of his power. The evil half got the majority of the power. Very similar to Piccolo and Kami after their split, they both lost a massive chunk of their power. Fat Buu was only the strongest form until the split. After the split, he became the weakest form. For Vegito, it was because of the fusion itself. The fusion adds their powers together, then multiplies them greatly. One of the guides said it's a 100x multiplier, then going super Sayian is an additional 50x multiplier on top of the fusion. That's a massive boost. Buu's absorptions don't give multipliers, they're just adding that person's power to his own. So for the sake of math, Vegito = Goku + Vegeta x 100, then x 50 when super Saiyan. Buuhan = Super Buu + Piccolo + Gotenks + Gohan. Yes, Super Buu got 3 or 4 times stronger than he originally was due to the multiple absorptions, but not 100 times stronger.

I think that Buu was like Freeza. Why bother reaching your full potential when everything else is magnitudes weaker than you? And it wasn't until Super that Buu decided to get serious. He's basically a mirror to Freeza in a sense.

It definitely weaken his destructive tendencies and made it a LOT easier to handle. There's a reason kid buu is the MOST dangerous version despite not beign the strongest, there's no flaws to exploit. You have to faught him to the death. Incredible video as always😊😊😊😊😊😊

From what ik and understand, the Kais absorption did not literally “weaken” buu. He visibly got a power buff iirc when he absorbed south kai. So it’s down to grand Kai as we all know. An absorption can’t literally weaken buu, it’s an add on and grand Kai isn’t a negative number in power. Majin/fat buu is just a more docile and less destructive version of buu, the good Of grand kai effected his personality heavily, it dialled back the evil in him. In reality super buu is just majin buu’s power without the evil being dialled back. Buu’s split was no different to piccolos(unarmed namekian) really. Id argue Kid buu isn’t pure evil like Grey buu but just doesn’t care and does what hé wants. Interesting that the evil always keeps more strength than the good

That is in fact exactly what happened. I don't remember who said it but in both Z after Kid Buu arrived and Super when they tried to turn Fat Buu into the Supreme Kaioshin, it was said that Supreme Kaioshin's good ki made buu less dangerous, not weaker.

The Grand Supreme Kai suppressed his power hence why when the Fat Majin Buu got really angry the evil side had to leave his body and be the dominant one so he could utilize the power he absorbed from the Kai’s. That’s why I don’t understand when ppl still say Kid Buu is stronger than Super Buu when the ladder literally is using the power Kid Buu absorbed.

@@reptilian_geneticist It was never stated that Piccolo Buu was weaker than Super Buu. The line about Piccolo "slowing [Buu] down" is a mistranslation, Goku only says that Gohan can handle Buu.

@@reptilian_geneticist "English dub translations are still official" but not completely accurate, as the old dubs show. I was referring to the manga anyways; in Kai Goku still only says that Gohan can defeat Buu, as was the case against Super Buu.

Personally, when it comes to Buu's power and transformations I always saw it like this: Fat Buu and Super Buu have the exact same power level. However, since the "Good" Portion was largely in control of their soul Fat Buu could only bring out his full power when angry. However, when they split and remerged turning into Super Buu and the "Evil" portion of his soul was now in control he could bring out his power to its fullest with far greater ease. It's not a change in power level just a shift in mindset. Sure Goku claims he could have probably bested Fat Buu as a Super Saiyan 3, but let's be real here Fat Buu was playing with him since at that point in the story before Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks & later Ultimate Gohan's arrival he was the most powerful opponent he'd come across since being released bar none. Plus it makes no sense at all for something to be split literally in half, put back together with the same components, and somehow be truly greater than it was. In the same vein, I always felt that Kid Buu & Evil Buu are roughly the same entity. Just that Good Buu represents the power of the Kai's he absorbed as Kid Buu and Evil Buu represents the power of the original Buu and together whether it be the Good Buu or the Evil Buu in control they still make a greater whole when combined into one Buu. Plus if he watch their fights neither Kid nor Evil Buu did any better than the other when fighting his Good counterpart. The only real difference between the two aside from their appearance is their behavior with Evil Buu being far more intelligent & composed than his Kid counterpart with his Kid counterpart being far more bestial. So ultimately I always ranked the Buu's like this from weakest to strongest: Good Buu, Evil/Kid Buu, Buff Buu, Fat/Super Buu, Super Buu (Piccolo, Trunks, & Goten absorbed), Super Buu (Gotenks & Piccolo absorbed), and finally at the top Super Buu (Gohan absorbed) aka Buuhan. That said you can make the argument that Buff Buu is stronger than Fat/Super Buu but I kinda doubt it. In short, the Kai's did not weaken him at all in terms of actual power but simply curbed his destructive tendencies as ultimately they are supposed to be deities of life & creation the exact opposite of Buu a being of pure destruction and chaos.

Your ranking has a fundamental flaw and that is Buff Buu is stronger than Super Buu. That’s clear in the statement by Goku his ki is increasing. This shows that the Kioshin absorption in fact does alter the power not just personality of Buu. The most logical ranking is Good/Mr Buu, Grey/Wrath Buu, Super Buu, Buff Buu, Kid Buu, Buu with SSJ3 Gotenks and finally Buu with Gohan. Buu with Piccolo and the kids is stronger than Super Buu but no evidence suggests he is stronger or weaker than Buff Buu. This makes the most sense as you stated why would taking something a part and remaking it make it stronger? It would if someone was made and had two restrictions placed on it say one arm tied up and one leg. When it was remade those restrictions are now both tying one arm. This new being would undoubtedly be stronger with all the same components.

I agree with most of what the guy above me said. I say Kid Buu still has the Buff Buu’s power making him the strongest. It wasnt Super Buu whose power Goku woulda felt last. It woulda been Buuhan’s power that Goku was comparing Buff Buu’s power to. So when that power spikes, it’s Kid Buu’s power. The fact we see Buff Buu has to mean that power is still in Kid Buu. He doesn’t revert back to Fat Buu because he no longer had GSK inside. He doesn’t go thru any of his earth forms because all of that has been removed. He goes Buff then he goes Kid, never getting rid of the SSK. Only the Super Buu/Buuhan fanboys assume he got rid of that power when he went to Kid Buu even though that makes no sense because again, the SSK was never removed. Instead of staying Buff, Kid Buu became the dominant being again opposed to letting another one of his personalities actively keep him locked away. Remember what Buuhan or technically Buu-Gito said when they went after Fat Buu, If u remove that, I’m not gonna be myself…he sees himself as a separate entity to Kid Buu and he knows the GSK is the only one keeping that side of him in check. No GSK means Kid Buu is gonna take back over. Again, Buuhan/Buu-Gito was actively trying to prevent this. Why would Kid Buu upon being unleashed, allow any other personality to be the dominant one after the shyt Super Buu pulls? He wouldn’t lol GSK was not stronger than SSK. After absorbing SSK, GSK stood no chance. So what could he do? He could allow himself to be absorbed and seal Buff Buu’s power from the inside. He probably didn’t even know how HIS personality would effect Buff Buu. This makes sense because Fat Buu is still a killer, just a childish one. If he intended on giving Buu a soul and making him more calm, he low key did a terrible job. So where does that leave us? Assuming Goku was measuring against Buuhan? Kid Buu=Buff Buu Buuhan Buutenks Buucolo OG Kid Buu Super Buu Fat Buu Mr. Buu Evil Buu Good Buu The only one it’s hard to place is Mr. Buu. The GSK wouldn’t be suppressing this Buu but this Buu is not the original Kid Buu either. So while he definitely has the GSK’s power, I doubt he has any of Kid Buu’s power. He should be stronger than the Good/Evil split versions bare minimum but Fat Buu does have the original Kid Buu inside him. Even with SSK’s power being suppressed, he should clap Mr. Buu thoroughly. A whole essay sorry fam lol Every Buu after Buff Buu would be inherently weaker due to the presence of the GSK. The absorptions did make him stronger but never as strong as Buff Buu was since he was completely free of GSK. The way I see it. Kid Buu da Goat

@@maniacslap1623 Goku wasn’t comparing Kid Buu/Buff Buu to Gohanbuu. While inside Buu they remove Gohan and state his power has decreased (as he is Super Buu without Gohan Goten Trunks or Piccolo). Thus when Buff Buu is stated to have increased power it is compared to Base Super Buu. Buuhan Buutenks Kid Buu Buff Buu Super Buu Fat Buu that first shown Skinny/grey Buu Fat Buu/Mr Buu The order of power with piccolo Buu above super Buu but no way to know if weaker or stronger than buff Buu but probably weaker.

So pretty much, Buu's absorption is the opposite of Cell's, meaning... Cell absorbing technique helped him grow stronger, while Buu's on the other hand gave him strength depending on who he absorbed but also came with a downside when taking in the personality of said individual.

I would call it an unforeseen consequence, that not even Buu could have predicted. However if it happened once, it could happen again, if he absorbed someone even more kind hearted or worse, more evil.

Considering Kami said that Goku is the only person that could replace him due to his purity in db. If buu absorbed goku wound he gave similar effects on buu?

Precisely. This is why SuperBuu never considered absorbing Goku alone (but Veggito was fine, specially if the pottara fusion was really "permanent" like they believed), since Vegeta's evil side would be enough to compensare Goku's purity.

Im still curious about how the spiltting buu works. Meanjng when evil buu split from fat buu why didnt he revert to kid buu (pure) and also how does making a second buu work? For example cell created cell jrs who were his offspring not an extension of himself but over here buu split into 2 being of one. Idk if im making sense at all.

Well if we try to calculate and use logic, Super Buu was considered to be stronger then Fat Buu because he had less restraint from the Grand Supreme Kai. However he was still weaker than the Buff Buu, which he absorbed the South Kai. But even that still gave him restrained because he was a Kai. So once he turned into Kid Buu he had no longer restraints from the Kais. Which means his power was still increasing because nothing was holding him back. So it proves that Kid Buu without the influence of the Kais souls. He would be considered to be the 3rd strongest buu form behind only Buutenks and Buuhan.

Except only the GSK was shown to have the negative effects on Kid Buu. The SSK made him stronger and when we see Buff Buu for that split second his power goes up. I have no doubt the Buff Buu would clap any version of Buu. If our Kid Buu kept that power and just suppressed that part of is his personality, he’s the strongest by a mile. He only dies because he never takes the fight seriously until the Spirit Bomb, a technique that relies on external power and doesn’t even need Goku at full strength to use, is already about to kill him. If Goku was really stronger than that Buu, he wouldn’t have used the Spirit Bomb. He wanted to beat Buu with his own power. The Spirit Bomb was Vegeta’s idea. So it boils down to if u think our Kid Buu still had the power of the SSK OR u think that power truly disappears when Kid Buu “manifests “.

I wish a content creator would give witches some love. It was a witch's technique that brought out Gohan's potential not a kai's technique. Also it was a witch that brought back both goku and vegeta for a day. Where is the witch love. Not only that roshi sister has been shown to travel freely through the living and dead realms.

Mike, what are your thoughts on where the power of buff Kid Buu went? As stated in the manga and as you pointed out when Super Buu was regressing he became even more powerful as buff Kid Buu. Then he completely reverted back to Kid Buu, Vegeta and Goku thought they could take him but where wrong. Clearly we see Kid Buu ramp up his power and Goku admits that he was much more powerful than he was before. I think this is a missing piece everyone overlooks for scaling Kid Buu. He has the potential to be stronger than Super Buu as it was demonstrated and stated. If you don’t agree then where did the power of buff Kid Buu disappear to?

Been arguing this for ages but the fanboys wanna just ignore this shyt lol Goku only thinks he can take him because the power he senses is heavily suppressed by the GSK. Once he’s removed, we see a glimpse of his true power before Kid Buu puts that personality on the back burner. Same thing Evil Buu does to Good Buu but they actually separate and recombine. Kid Buu and Buff Buu never seperate, we just see Kid Buu becoming the dominant personality again. Also, about the statement that Buff Buu’s power actually rose. The last Buu Goku could compare this to is Buuhan. The last Buu he saw before he fused unless u believe he could sense Buugito’s power from the inside. Either way, results the same… The Kid Buu Goku actually fought against would clap any version of Buu from before. Oh he got killed by the Spirit Bomb. Ok. A move that doesn’t rely on Goku’s own power to deal damage, a move that Goku’s never used with all his energy before and a move that was created by a Kai. OG Kid Buu without the SSK should still be clapping Super Buu at least. Super Buu has the GSK still, OG Kid Buu didn’t. The effects the GSK had on Buu were so bad, who knows. I think Fat Buu splitting and the Evil Side actually winning is the ONLY reason they were able to suppress the GSK personality. And he still couldn’t completely suppress it so he still shouldn’t be able to access the SSK power. The problem is: we call our Kid Buu the pure one and he isn’t the pure one. The pure one is the one that fought SSK aka OG Kid Buu. Our Buu should be called Supreme Kid Buu aka the Buu with the strongest Supreme Kai. But I digress lol Good catch fam and I too wanna see SOMEONE do a video and talk about that aspect of things, even LSM just glossed over it lol “Supreme” Kid Buu > any other version of Buu. There I said it lol

@@maniacslap1623 every time I bring this up it’s ignored. I don’t think anyone wants to touch it. I don’t think Kid Buu is stronger than Buuhan but I do think he is at least as powerful as Super Buu and potentially more powerful from statements. It’s likely we only saw his true power in the spirit bomb struggle.

I think it's interesting that the south kaioshin, by the end of Buu Saga, is probably still stronger than any of the cast aside from Gohan. Assuming "Minami" was giving Kid Buu a hard time in comparison to the whipping everyone else got.

Boo is a character that I love regardless of his many forms. My favorite is Kid Boo because not only he is a purely psychotic villain, something that even Freeza and Cell didn't fully reach he is also making me laugh. Especially his belly dancing when Vegeta is fighting him. Best mocking ever.

The Supreme Kais have magic and other abilities that aren't related to power. I just assumed that their other abilities allowed them to weaken Buu after they were absorbed. Kind of like a reverse of Guru unlocking people's potential.

Hey bro i was wondering if you had any ideas on what happened to the original kais buu absorbed. They should've theoretically still been hanging there with gotten trunks gohan piccolo and fat buu. At least it would've made more sense maybe even just a few skeletons hanging beside gohan and the others

IMO every single Supreme Kais he absorbed have an individual effect on him. The muscular one maybe ruthless and Strong physically but slower and could no longer reach his maximun speed potential, and by absorbing the gentlest Kai of them all it made him even more weaker and slower and unable to tap to his real power so yeah every one of them has a unique effect on buu. iMO

I always took it as "weakened" in the sense that the personalities/souls of those he absorbs have an influence on him. Super Buu became exceptionally tactical with Piccolo in him, and even more goofy, chaotic, and childish after absorbing Gotenks. When he got Gohan, he portrayed Gohan's tendency to get a little smug and snarky when he's obviously got an upper hand, and it's probably not a stretch that Gohan's explosive temper added on to Buu's already volatile state. So yeah, absorbing the Kais definitely influenced him as well. No idea the personality of South Kai but Dai Kaio Shin's excessively cheery and gentle soul made Buu exceptionally cheerful as well, making him less prone to tapping into all of his dark power.

Very much agree that it depends on who he's absorbing as to whether Buu gets stronger or weaker. I don't know if the manga brought it up but Supreme Kai does explain while not their leader the Kai of the South was the strongest so maybe he was on par with Kid Buu, vs the leader of the Kais was able to do heavy damage to Buff Buu but was weaker than the South Kai. But the other thing as you brought up the Leader if the Kais was like a big kid so vs Southern Kai who came off like a muscle head, so the kid like nature of Buu's newest absorption plus a weaker power did hamper him. We also see this play out with Buutenks vs Goku and Gohan when the transformation ran out Piccolo became the dominant power because he was stronger than Trunks and Goten but not Gotenks. So order of absorption does play a role as well. I do like that when absorbing the Kais Buu does get a soul also playing a factor as well which I hadn't thought about because the two most evil versions were Kid Buu by far because he is a force of nature whereas Evil Buu is just evil but when that version absorbs Majin or Fat Buu he still has those kid like tendencies as want of chocolate and candy, also having very little patience much like Majin Buu did. So while far more powerful there was still that little bit of Buu in there, which I will admit the way he trolls Gotenks at times is perfect in a Bugs Bunny kind of way, just a "you're so boring I'm gonna read a magazine and have a smoothie while I wait"
