@@anantthakur7166 Yes, what is happening with the Philippines? They intentionally beached an old World War II era ship on a reef and claimed it as part of the Philippines. Then they promised China repeatedly that they would get rid of it, and now they keep trying to ship construction materials to the ship to make a more permanent base there. I wonder if India would be okay if China did something similar in the Indian Ocean? Also, China isn't building island close to the Maldives and the Indian Ocean is an international waterway and doesn't belong to India. If all you can do is discuss nonsense, then it would seem that it is you who has a "hawkish nature".

@@rwansingh Chagos Archipelago is less than 500km away from our Atoll AdduCity, just like any other atoll in Maldives. Our grandparents used to fish and cut wood to build fishing boats in Diego Garcia or locally known as"Foalhavahi." Foalhavahi is mentioned in our history books. British took over the island after Prime Minister Ibrahim Nasir ended the 100-year agreement of leasing Addu atoll Gan island to British. RAF Gan military base was under British from 1940s to 1965 until Maldives became independent from British protectorate. After leaving Addu Gan island, the British took over nearby Atoll Chagos, which just looked similar to Addu. Just because French brought African slaves and later sent them all to mauritius, it doesn't mean Chagos should be handed over to mauritius, which is more than 2000km away near Africa.

India unleashed its terrorism in Sri Lanka, your country was harbouring terrorists, majority of them were Hindus, it was China who helped defeat the Indian sponsored terrorist in Sri Lanka. Stop stealing Sri Lanka's marine resources which is estimated to be $8-9 billion annually. Sri Lanka owes you nothing, your national security is your concern but be thankful Sri Lanka has even after its bitter experiences still didn't compromise Indian national security. If Sri Lanka wanted it could have given the entire Trincomalee harbour to the US in the late 70's where India was America's number two enemy.
