Yogi is too headstrong to be prime minister. He will not make a good national leader. All he'll do is end up triggering all kinds of backlash. Remember what Narasimha Rao called "Aurangzeb Principle" - if you try to behave like a strongman over India, then you'll just trigger uprisings everywhere. I haven't seen Yogi do anything for economic growth in Uttar Pradesh. That's a big litmus test for me. I keep hearing his fans making rosy forecasts and then creatively claiming these forecasts are about to become reality. Bottom line is, proof is in the pudding -- if you don't have actual economic growth figures under your belt, then you don't have what it takes.

Sri Shivaraj chauhan, former chief minister of Madhya pradesh, will be a suitable person for the post. As a cabinet minister for agriculture in the central government, he is performing excellently, which is the need of hour. For three terms as chief minister, he has a blemishless record. Moreover, a PM needs to manage external affairs, defence etc., who has to be sombre. Perhaps, Yogi's aggressiveness needs to be toned down, in course of time. I am from Karnataka. We voted Modi overwhelmingly, but he betrayed us by not abolishing many acts which grossly favoured muslims though he had brute majority, in his previous term. Yogi may also turn the same way due to compulsions. The need of the hour is awakening Hindus who are enjoying deep slumber; we will get a suitable PM the.
