Check your med schools. She could also consider an international medical school. Being an IMG (international medical graduate) would make it MUCH harder to obtain required US residency program and work in US, but it can still be done. For instance, UHSA in Antigua still has prayer before starting a board meeting! No woke craziness! BUT-VERY difficult to be IMG and get US residency! Does she know what specialty she wants? Many med students change their preferred specialty when they do their clinical rotations

There occurred a perfect example of diversity gone awry in Chillicothe, Ohio’s Adena medical center, when two foreign cardiologists were witnessed watching a youtube video to learn a medical procedure, just before preforming the procedure and killing two woman. A procedure that they were not certified to preform. I was a patient at the time and was visited by four members of the cardiology department. They looked like poster children for diversity and equity hiring. One was a clearly homosexual Asian, one a Kenyan, one of Arab origin and one gal from India, none of which spoke English well enough to explain my issue understandably. The next day I was visited by a limp rested cardiologist (dude I think), with spiked white hair and painted fingernails. But I’m certain that all were the best qualified prospects available. Luckily, I heard about the fore mentioned incident from a nurse and transferred to another hospital for my procedure.

University of California 1968. It started. All incoming freshman classes undergraduate and graduate (medical school, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, PhD) had to have 25% set aside for minority students. Where I live, the state health authority already evaluates a patient's quality of health, treatments needed, and probable longevity of life. If you're chronically ill, disabled, elderly, the state is withholding medical treatments, services, medications, and accessibility to care. They judge whether you deserve healthcare or not. They don't admit this, but it is what they are doing. It becomes the elephant in the room when trying to resolve situations where there is a problem with receiving care. I know this first hand.

It already has.Elliot Spitzer started a huge healthcare crisis in New York by pushing L.P.N.s out of our hospitals and bringing in foreign R.N.s through a manufactured nursing crisis. Then we had DACA doctors and nurses pushing New Yorkers out of the medical system. Then we had a rush from Andrew Cuomo under another manufactured crisis just before Covid.New Jersey and California followed suit. Meanwhile I was cheated of my nursing education twice -the stolen money used most likely for free education for DACAs.I am so disgusted by the medical malpractice that I see that the medical industry is about to lose one of their best pediatric nurses.

Respectfully, It’s not “The One Step Exam;” the exam to which you refer is “Step I of the USMLE” (United States Medical Licensing Exam) also called USMLE Step I. Med students traditionally take USMLE Step I at the end of their second year, before they start clinical rotations. Many schools won’t let their students start clinical rotations unless they pass USMLE Step I The students then traditionally take USMLE Step 2 in their fourth year of medical school, prior to graduation ; Step 3 is usually taken during the first or second year of postgraduate training (residency). Residency programs traditionally depended on high Step I scores to help figure out which med students are most likely to do well in residency, pass tests during residency, (shelf exams) pass USMLE step II CK and pass board certification in their chosen high USMLE Step I scores helped determine which residency program would accept a student. Now that Step I is pass/fail, Step II is far more important than it used to be. It’s about all the residency programs now have to determine which students to choose

I no longer eat at restaurants. The mere possibility that a DEI "chef" was just "fisting" his "partner" minutes to hours before preparing food with the same hands and fingernails for unsuspecting patrons is quite enough to put me off. Same with foods like bread.

I don't trust the corporatized medical system and also try to stay away from doctors. I searched for a few docs when I moved from one state to another and finally found a private doc who also happens to be a christian and am very happy with him. Think we all need to make the choice to not participate in the medical system as it is now since it's more of a business than in the business of caring.

I'm in Canada and currently looking for work. Most of the good paying jobs here have a disclaimer at the bottom saying basically "white men need not apply". It's easier for all the new people pouring into our country to get a good job, than someone who was born and raised here. The white people are now the working poor, taxed over 50% of our income.
