The strategy of the "carriers" matter too imo. KCCPV has one that has fighters prioritized corvettes, while the Predator base variant has one that forces aircraft to target carriers.

Anti air is currently broken in this game (I'm not sure if it is bugged as many other things in this game or intended by developers): ships only use their anti air weapons if they are directly attacked. If aircraft is attacking the ship next to them they won't use their AA weapons at all. So there is no point in building dedicated AA ships. If ships have a good AA it is a bonus but I'd rather focus on anti ship dmg when selecting a ship for my fleet. If you want to defend against aircraft the only real option is to use AA fighters (like the Strix).

The st59 pulse option for the cannon turret might be worth it with this bug. Don’t mind the 10% damage loss for switch to energy, but the all small dest/frig/AA priority is awful. With this bug maybe it’s tolerable.

One thing you missed about the Newland is it's ability to target subsystems. Now subsystem possible fighters are some of the biggest threats as if they happen to target certain subsystems and drop that subsystems health then you will destroy the ship no matter what health the ship itself has left. nothing like watching your supercaps die at 60% health because subsystem fighters or UAVs destroyed your ships bridge

Go to ship managemt. Then select fighter squadron that is not in fleet, an opened window there will be icon that hase x5 (in case of sc002 fighter). That show how much fighter are in squadron.

i may b a little late to the party but it should be noted that the ceres while does act as an aircraft carrier also excels at anti aircraft firepower. so having one or 2 or these earlier than t5 isnt a bad thing.

How do you pull corvettes out of the defense tower? I cant use my cv's because they are stuck defending and they game has no option to remove them.

These things do crazy damage, the bombers, and the jumbo, fighters are no joke. I think I spent 12k coins trying to get these. Didnt get none, got a few noma variants, including anti air, does decent dmg, but think the reliant missle does more..

@@captainbenzie I saw that. I run torp quaoar ever season because they are cheap and they are great damage dealer. Fast fit in my frigate fleet. Lots of health for 6 CP compared to WH and most battles especially if I run into cruisers and the strat kicks in I'm seeing them do xeno and Taurus level damage

Clarification on the CV3000 Hangar tech upgrades The upgrades doesn't specifically state whether fighters or corvettes get the damage bonus. Aircraft in that context includes both fighters and corvettes so upgrading the hangar of the CV3000 will make it a powerful carrier of both types of aircraft

What is the difference of medium and heavy fighter?

Heavy fighters are your 3 bombers in game. They are more anti large ship or siege type aircraft. Medium aircraft are more like your subsystem damaging aircraft newlands vitas a and some of the fighters and interceptors like strix or mistrals. Large aircraft have 2 in a squadron medium have 3-4 in a squadron usually 3 and small aircraft have 5 in a squadron like spore sandrakes

There are multiple ways to identify the amount of fighters in a squadron 1. Deploying them in base defense aircraft hangar 2. Equipping the aircraft to a ship with aircraft hangar 3. Ship management -> Aircraft Hangar

The SC002 and SC020 'Balancer' may have jamming, but it only affects the targets ability to hit the FIGHTER, not your fleet.
