How Do I Choose Which Poker Rooms To Play In Las Vegas?

Las Vegas has 17 poker rooms. I play Aria some days. I play Caesars Palace some days. MGM at times. Resorts World occasionally. How do I decide what casino to frequent?

I was so excited to play at Bellagio my first trip out in 15 years. I lasted 1 hour. So boring. No one talks, they all have book bags and head phones. Went to Ballys and had a blast. You are on point in this video. Thanks

I'm just back from my first time in LV. I played at the Wynn, the Horseshoe, Caesars and Bellagio (and saw Aria's and Venetian's poker rooms). The best one for me is the Horseshoe...it's a mix between modern and old (old brown color everywhere) but the environment is great, players are talking so as the dealers. A good point is that the poker room is near the entrance of the casino. And smokers may smoke juste in front of the poker room. And I never had to wait long for getting a seat ! For 2nd place, I choose for the Wynn/Encore...modern poker room, good players, chips are great (but not clean). But the waiting list can be long :/ 3rd place : Caesars. Environment is great, players are locals and tourists, short waiting list. But the seats are uncomfortable and some are even half broken. 4th : Bellagio. The place is beautiful but it's a little bit dark and not so much space between the tables, very loud too. As I said, I saw the Aria, it looks modern but dark...and the poker room is far at the rear of the casino. And for the Venetian, it looks great and luxurious but it's very loud because you're near the main entrance. And smokers have to walk 50-60 ft away from the tables to smoke in the casino area. Oh I forgot that I saw the Golden Nugget too but I don't like their poker room...it's small, the waiting list was damned long and everybody smoke at the room's entrance so the smoke came into the poker room, not great at all.

Another food challenge idea. Eat pizza for 7 days and rate each of the various pizza slices. At the end, you can rank them from best to worst and show the cost for all of them. It would be interesting to see which places and which kinds of pizza are the best to have in Vegas.

Great video! We actually spoke about this on twitter. Seems like a lot of players agree with Bellagio being boring. But when I was there in October last year the tables were very talkative. Maybe partially because of me. Generally I'll strike up some conversation or have people guess where im from etc. They never guess right so it helps with having a convo.

I like my MGM because of the good, old dealers. It's in a lively location too. Westgate is fun, too. Bellagio and Aria have a funky vibe, to me. Golden Nugget has good chairs.

I dealt at MGM during the series this year, and I really enjoyed it! Very cool dealers, fun people, who also know what they are doing, but also plenty of newbies. I like Aria as well if you want a more high end experience where the dealers and players are still allowed to have fun. The Wynn is my least favorite because they discourage the dealers from talking to the players and they don't want any "fun" on the table. It's so boring and dry.

I've been to Vegas 10+ times. Almost always did well. Started playing in at local casinos in Washington state. Found out when you play against a bunch of guys that work for Amazon the only one making money is the casino.

Just an fyi, especially since you recently had mentioned possibly playing in Arizona for a few days. The Phoenix area actually has three poker rooms: Talking Stick in Scottsdale (east), Desert Diamond in Glendale (west) and Lone Butte in Chandler (south). If you play at the Stick and we get at the same table, you can eat a comped meal in the poker room on me. 🙂

Don’t know if you read comments on video’s a year old? But I just returned from the Nugget and there were two individuals at my table glued to their phones. The Dealer on numerous occasions asked them to make their move when play came their way, very annoying. Thank you Jeronimo

What advice would you have for a tourist looking for good room featuring LIMIT holdem games. They used to be the top choice in games....now hard to find any regular ones above 4/8 limit. 8/16. 10/20 or 15/30. Havent been to vegas since precovid but even then tough to find. Can you point me in the right direction....its a dying breed.

For high stakes, Bellagio still has $10-20 and $20-40 I think. For low stakes, Bally's has $4-8 consistently.

Orleans has lower limit games. Hold em and Omaha. It’s about a mile or 2 down from the rio. More locals playing there as well

Trooper Thursday is a lot of fun, very social. -- GN is the only room downtown. I don't play there much. It's hit-or-miss but can be amazing.

I don't play them much. I think GN is your best bet for action. South Point late night once all the retired players have gone home is pretty solid.

have you ever considered just converting your car into a camper? lots of people have done it. i imagine you would be able to save even more $$ in the long-run, and perhaps even allow you to jump up in stakes if you just sacrificed and lived in your car 2 nights/week on Fridays and Saturdays

Do Freerolls factor in? It seems like every quarter, SouthPoint has a freeroll qualifier where 1st place is around $30K or $40K. You just have to accrue x amount of hours to qualify. Any response would be greatly appreciated.

Have you ever thought of coming to Montreal canada, it's awesome plus it's great for poker im sure you heard of playground poker. Rake is ten bucks max but you eat awesome food and booze for free. But I prefer the poker room at the casino montreal it has lots of walk by traffic which is key for the games and all the true poker players go to playground for service and setting so more fish and pit gamblers filling the tables. Just a thought. I don't know how you feel about strip clubs but Montreal is best in the world for that if your into that but you don't seem like that's your thing lol not like Jeff boski
