How do I feel about Faux Locs?

I have had faux locs. I loved them. I had them crotchet in. My hair was corn rowed down and they were latched in so taking them out wasn’t bad. I have had locs for a year and a half. I like the idea of faux locs because you can try them out and see if the real thing is for you. I started with coils.

I tried crochet faux locs for about a year before starting my own comb coil locs. I loved the way my faux locs looked and was definitely a great way to see how mine could turn out. What I will say and agree with you one hundred percent it's that they snatch your edges right out... So that's what made me stop and look into locing my own hair. I'm a year and a half in now and my hair is thanking me. I haven't looked back... 🎉

Hey sis 🎉🎉🎉🎉 it’s been a long time but I’m back I see you cut your locs. I recently combed mines out new Journey ❤❤! I use to get faux locs before I loc I loved them and took lots of pics to see how I would look with regular locs

'Protective styles' are a bit of an oxymoron. The only styles that truly protect loose afro are braiding, flat twisting and cornrowing your hair without any extensions.
