I was skeptical until I saw the ring connector. That good idea reduces complexity. You don’t have to connect string after string snaking all over the branches. If you are not leaving your lights up past the season, I will say that the unwrapping process can be frustratingly tedious. That is why I use 4/5 meter strands and do not spiral-wrap, but simply drape along the branch; removal is so much easier. But Spiral has a great look, I admit.

I just wrapped my tree by spiralling the lights. I used many sets of lights. Took forever. I have scratches in places I didn’t anticipate. But it does look pretty.

@@funeralgiggle3771 it is better looking, following the natural contours. But you swear a lot.

Do you offer a direct connect 120v (US) system for the Connect Go series?
@evangentry78854 жыл бұрын
Does anyone know of an option similar to this in the US? I would buy these but they are obviously not the same voltage as what we use and I need them very quickly. If Festive Lights comes out with the Connect Pro line in America I will definitely start selling their equipment.
@drdarkman20003 жыл бұрын
I came across this actual video last year but I had forgotten about it. Their Connect Go series is a great option. The only thing I can think to do is run a 240v breaker with properly wire size to a UK Type G outlet, then I think it would work. Would need to research that obviously.

Hey there. I don't have access to a power source. Is there anyway you can link where I can get the battery box, or explain further how to set up lights this way? I can't seem to find any videos online :( Thank you!

Could this set up be left on the tree all year round??
@festivelights Жыл бұрын
We recommend taking down your ConnectGo® Lights as they are more seasonal. Our ConnectPro® Lights though are more durable and can be left up all year! You can have a look at that range of lights here >> www.festive-lights.com/connectable-lights/connectpro

Great video. I had a few questions. How many feet of cable did you use? Can you give us some information on the size of the tree trunk and height for the tree? How many Strands did you end up using? What did you do if the branches only need half a strand is there a solution for the excess cable?
@festivelights4 жыл бұрын
Hi Kevin, we used 5 metre connectable string lights - 2 x 5m lengths to cover the trunk and 9 x 5m lengths for the branches, making 11 sets in total. In terms of how many you would need, it would depend on the type of tree you’re wrapping and how big it is. The beauty of the connectable systems is that it’s easy to add more if you need extra, or take them away and return them if you have too many. Contact us on our website if you need more information. www.festive-lights.com

@@festivelights Thanks so much for the quick reply and emailing.

I will say as someone who has used this sort of connector, that with a 10 meter string, often, unless the branches are very long, you end up with extra lights and have to double back along the same branch, or, if you can do it gracefully, go sideways to another branch and then downward. It can be mind-boggling. That is why I use shorter strands, necessitating a different system. The tree in the video is very much like mine, although mine is a bit larger.

@festivelights4 жыл бұрын
Yes that's correct, 11 of the 5m lengths - We have used a total of 55 metres of our Connect Go strings on this tree. With regards to the connection box, yes they have a waterproof seal. You can find the DriBox here > www.festive-lights.com/dribox-weatherproof-connection-box-black-and-green
