How do I present my vision to investors?
Of all the things that are critical when you pitch investors, properly presenting your vision might be the most important. If you present your vision the wrong way, investors won’t want to invest. If you present your vision the right way, you'll find investors will be lining up to invest in your startup.
I should know. We had multiple investors pass on investing early on in our fundraising process. However, once we explained our vision the right way, we were able to raise our funding.

Why do investors hate conservative projections?

Investors know that, despite the label, conservative estimates are rarely conservative.

I'll never understand this because it makes more sense to tell the truth about your numbers rather than lie and not deliver on unrealistic over the top numbers.

Wonderful clear presentation. Will adapt our pitch deck (although we are not actively searching for capital). But being prepared is good. We are developing a process automation SaaS, and I just learned that broadening the vision could be a great idea, as yes, definitely we have bigger plans and visions for tomorrow, we just didn't talk about it yet. Thanks a lot!!

What if your market strategy changes on the path to achieving your vision? Say you start with B2C (direct to patients), then B2B (selling to hospitals), then B2B (data services to pharma)?

It's a great question since this is very likely to happen. If your market strategy changes, then you need to reflect in your pitch in your GTM slide. However, you don't need to change your vision (your long term goals) unless that changes too.
