Bill Gates reveals the incredible advancements in artificial intelligence that are revolutionizing sectors from global health to energy. In a conversation at CNN Academy in Abu Dhabi with Becky Anderson, Gates highlights how AI is offering groundbreaking solutions to some of the world’s most pressing issues, including the fight against malaria, climate change, and healthcare inequality. What was once thought to be a distant dream, AI is now poised to make a transformative impact - faster than even Gates predicted. #CNN #News

Gates is no doubt way smarter than me and my very little research in AI from decades ago. And I think he's too smart to believe what he is saying here. LLMs are not AI in the "heuristic algorithm" sense , i.e., "thinking" machines that can seek their own training through optical recognition trained on the existential world. LLMs are essentially recursive search engines that are copy-and-pasting-with-trained-formatting from the WWW (which arguably has an information accuracy of 40%-60% depending on the subject matter). Neat trick. But not the engineering breakthrough that Marvin Minsky et al were dreaming of years ago. I think what he's saying here is "let us billionaires get rich off this emerging technology and we promise we'll share some of the profits with the poor later on." At least, that's the formula I've seen most often.

I will tell you that I just say a feature on work being done in the UK regarding Cancer research. It is shown that getting some cancer fighting material to bond with certain cancer causing proteins is showing real promise. Some of these proteins have been identified in a particular cancer and the medicine has seemed to destroy the cancer cells and the patients are in remission. This is going very slowing, one reason is that their are thousands of proteins and they are all different and in different types of cancer. It takes months and years to map just a few proteins and using AI they mapped them all in about 48 hours. So, like a lot of things, AI can be very dangerous IMHO if used by the wrong people for the wrong reasons and we are going to be seeing a lot more of that. Politics will play into what regulations may or may not be imposed. It certainly can be used for evil. Hopefully we can use it for the good, and keep the evil down to a dull roar.

There’s a new pill for heart disease. Here’s some division to help you and your fellow man to keep the hegemony of power for our elite overlords in place. Five places to vacation this summer. Bernie Sanders bad. Here’s a 5 second clip taking his words out of context so that you hate him. Trump bad. Here’s the country the American military-industrial complex wants to invade next and an emotionally video from a neighboring country to help you support them. They never touch on any real topics. There’s a million people in slavery today in West Africa. No one cares. They just run advertisements for clothing literally made by slaves - the worst was Nike and LeBron James using actual Uyghur slaves to produce black empowerment clothing products. One million people dead of fentanyl. Oh wait big pharma doesn’t want us to talk about that because it might cause everyday people to questions their agendas so we just casually don’t mention our cities are overran by drug addicts. It’s so dystopian at this point that smart people buy into this crap - same with Fox. But you are a GOOD person if you do and only BAD people don’t buy into it. Who needs church when corporations can proselytize and give sermon to their new religion 24 hours a day on a box in your living room?

Hog wash... Our computer technology does not work. Adding another layer is not going to fix anything, it will just create another monopoly. Computers are moving toward control of all knowledge. Anyone controlling knowledge, controls all sciences, therefore progress will die. No value or logic that is of any value is never shared. We should instead give the owner of the hardware absolute control. of his information, software, communication, and hardware. Progress in 100 years: Batteries powerful enough to have individual flying person devices. No road system would be required. Quantum navigation, and absolute secure hardware and software would eliminate all road systems. Software needs to work equally for every individual at no cost. Self promoting companies will never let this happen.

@@GinaRoesch and the fact that the Democrats have oppressed true Americans for four years doesn't help either. As soon as the Democrats threw real Americans to the curb and funded illegals, that's when the tides turned. That's when I joined millions of other Democrats and voted for Trump.

What are your thoughts? Over time, the U.S. government has evolved into a complex amalgamation of republican, democratic, technocratic, corporate, militaristic, populist, and neoliberal elements. These systems sometimes clash, creating a unique and complex governance structure that doesn’t fit neatly into traditional categories. 1. Constitutional Republic: At its core, the U.S. still adheres to its founding principles-federalism, the separation of powers, and a system of checks and balances. However, these principles are sometimes interpreted and applied in ways that reflect evolving political and social realities. 2. Democratic Elements: Although it's a republic, there are numerous democratic aspects built into the system-direct elections, universal suffrage, public referendums, and initiatives. Over time, these democratic mechanisms have expanded, often in response to social movements and demands for greater inclusivity. 3. Technocratic Governance: Over recent decades, the influence of technical experts, bureaucrats, and specialized agencies has grown, particularly in areas like health, environmental policy, and financial regulation. This technocratic influence often runs parallel to democratic decision-making and sometimes supersedes it, as seen in regulatory bodies such as the EPA or the SEC. 4. Corporate Influence and Oligarchy: As corporations and lobbying groups have gained increasing influence over political processes, some argue that the U.S. exhibits characteristics of an oligarchy, where a small group of elite corporate interests have outsized power over public policy. This reflects a shift away from a purely democratic system of governance. 5. Surveillance State: The expansion of intelligence and law enforcement agencies, particularly after events like 9/11, has led to the rise of a surveillance state that operates outside the typical democratic frameworks. This includes mass data collection, security measures, and the use of covert actions that may not always be transparent to the public. 6. Militarization and Executive Power: The growth of executive power, particularly in times of crisis or war, has led to a shift towards a more imperial or authoritarian mode of governance. The expansion of the executive branch's power, particularly in foreign policy and national security, can undermine traditional checks and balances. 7. Judicial Activism: The judiciary in the U.S. has increasingly played a role in shaping policy, from interpreting laws in ways that reflect evolving social norms to overruling state-level decisions on issues like marriage equality or abortion rights. This shift has led to debates about the role of courts as not just interpreters of the law, but as powerful actors in policymaking. 8. Federal vs. State Power: The ongoing tension between federal and state power creates a dynamic of decentralized authority, with states exercising significant control over local governance (particularly on issues like education, healthcare, and criminal justice), while the federal government maintains dominance over national matters. 9. Populist Movements and Disruption: The rise of populist movements, especially with the election of figures like Donald Trump, has revealed the extent to which American politics has become fragmented. These movements disrupt traditional party structures and institutions, suggesting a shift towards more direct forms of governance by the people-or at least a perception of it. 10. Neoliberalism and Market Governance: The prevalence of neoliberal economic policies, including privatization, deregulation, and the reduction of social welfare, creates a system where market forces often govern public policy, particularly in sectors like healthcare, education, and infrastructure. This introduces elements of market governance into the public sector. 11. Global Governance Influence: The U.S. government’s role in international organizations, treaties, and agreements introduces elements of global governance that sometimes influence domestic policies, further complicating the structure. International agreements on trade, climate change, and security intersect with national laws, creating a hybrid system of local, national, and global governance.

the end is near but do not fear. Jesus Christ are lord, savior, king, and son of God is coming to rapture the church. If you want not face the 7 year tribulation here what you must do. 1.
