Thank you Swamiji, this is exactly what I needed to hear right now. Especially after the election and demons running rampant all over this Earth, I will starve the evil wolf of this mind and become peace. Hare Krishna! Sri Radhey Radey I love you so 💗

I started meditating regularly twice daily as a young teenager five decades ago The impact this has had on my life experience is beyond words. And I fully agree with everything Swamiji offers as guidance here. A very useful video indeed.🧡🙏

I strongly believe that if one sits for meditation after bathing, they will meditate better. However, bathing very early in the morning can be highly problematic for most people, as it may lead to catching a cold if done daily. That said, I believe that rinsing the face, eyes, hands, and legs wiith water before meditation is quite effective in promoting a better meditation. I believe, if one can defecate before meditation, that would be even better. Personally, right after waking up, I rinse my face, eyes, and so on, drink a glass of lukewarm water, and then do some core twisting and inversion asanas, which helps me defecate shortly afterwards. After that, I begin my meditation practice. Although I have never been formally initiated, I am absolutely regular with these practices, and I believe my level of focus has increased with the passing of time.

i look up to see the impenetrable barrier of sky i close my eyes to behold impassable darkness i throw my prayers to a void from which no answer returns Oh my Beloved Shambhu, where are You ? Do not dry the ocean of my love With the fires of my desires, with the fires of my restlessness For Thee i pine, for Thee i weep i will cry no more, Thou mine ever more Thee i (ought to) find behind the fringe of my mind Hide no more Lord, hide no more Leave me not my Lord, leave me no more. -----------------------------------------Jai Shambhu Jai Guru

I think we need to keep it simple and stupid (acronym KISS) ... 1. You should have love for God without which you are wasting your time. Just be truthful about it and make the habit of being genuine in life and in every interaction with the outside world 2. Be crazy for connecting (you may call it talk/touch/see/anything) with God 3. Be Sattvik in your thoughts (although it will go up and down throughout the day) 4. When you sit for meditation - super relax your body and calm your mind - else get up and don't meditate. If you cannot sit still - you cannot meditate to begin with. Similarly, your mind has to be completely calmed as well. 5. Try to detach from your physical body by focusing on a mantra or a single word (example - God's name) and hold on to the image of God, in your mind as well - as much as you can. Make sure, you softly utter your mantra or name (of God) initially - then turn it to your mind to keep it going. Remember, to do all these - with your over-arching genuine love and longing for God The "only" thing that will glue/attract you to God is your "love" for God - rest everything is just a catalyst/technique to help you to tune and connect with God. If you are sattvik - your own higher vibration level will help you detach from your body and into a samadhi state. Hence, the more the merrier btw - I am not a meditator...just a few thoughts here. And "meditation" is not something you do (and when you do - it is simply a practice of focused attention) - rather, something that you are in. Meditation is that "thoughtless" state of your being in the "now" (where time/space do not exist) ... and you simply remain in the bliss of God. Initially, it will be a few seconds but it will go up as you start to get intoxicated/motivated to do more. This is the initial stage of samadhi Hope that helps. Best.

Hello 'VEDANTA'. SwamiSarvapriyananda is a knowledgable person. Please take off the artificial halo (or sun) you have created behind his picture on your post. He is a human being and NOT a GOD or a DEMIGOD. Let him be what he is. There is no shortage of those so called human Gods in modern Sanatan Dharma.

Can one mediate while walking or lying down on a bed instead of sitting in a place?
@atrayeeroy4501Ай бұрын
It seems so. In the beginning, one needs to sit at a place for sometime. But a saint said, there comes a stage in life when one can meditate walking, talking, eating, lying down, just sitting for relaxation... Personally, I need a little japa and prayer, which helps me. Also, regular studies of scriptures do help me a lot.😊
@fokrey5591Ай бұрын
@@atrayeeroy4501You are absolutely correct. What you said here is called Vedantic meditation which goes on continuously. Not necessary to sit in a place and meditate with closed eyes. Sant Kabir says " khoole aank se sahab ko dekhoon".
