I wished I found your channel before I started my journey. I have a non profit physical therapy for injured soldiers. 75% of what I need to raise is for my therapists. I have noticed that funds normally don’t want to fund more than 30% to the staff. What can I do?

It sounds like therapists might be part of your programs and services to the community, is that right? If so, then therapists are a program cost, not an overhead cost.

Where specifically can one go online to find out how much a nonprofit is paying in taxes or payroll, etc. ? 11:34

If you mean what the payroll tax rate, you'd look that up for your region. Here's a helpful resource: www.bench.co/blog/accounting/calculate-payroll-tax

Sorry. I meant payroll only. Like where can I look up how much an executive director for an unspecified nonprofit is getting paid?

Hi. What does a big corporation like Walmart get out of contacting with a non for profit? Can you do a video on how a non profit can lose money?
@AmberMelanieSmith3 ай бұрын
You mean why would a big company partner with a nonprofit? A variety of reasons - good PR, tax deductions, supporting the community is shown to build trust with customers, etc.!

@@AmberMelanieSmith thanks for responding. I guess I didn't ask the right question. I know of a non for profit that has a contract with Walmart. They make products for Walmart. Walmart then sells the product and profits. I don't understand how a Walmart could could profit off a non for profit outside of tax right off.

@@keepsit100atalltime9 Ahh I see. Well in that case, the nonprofit is selling their materials through Walmart and getting part of the profits, is that right? That means the nonprofit is now getting massive reach. It sounds like it might be a really good deal for the nonprofit? Going through Walmart probably means the nonprofit saves a ton of money on marketing, etc. so the profit margin may be really worth it to them.

@@AmberMelanieSmith That's what I'm assuming. The NFP has govt. and commercial contracts. I guess I'm confused as to how companies are able to do business with a NFP - tax write offs via donations, and monies earned from the sell of products produced by the NfP. I've never known a non for profit organization to not rely solely on donations, grants, etc. to sustain itself.
