Brilliant!!!!! Seems every company around here advertises with "refrigerator magnets"- aka: Universal Annoyances. Tossing them into my "hardware drawer" annoyed me even more as things became "magnetted" together! But watching this video, it occurred to me that their persistent "stick-to-it-tiveness" could prove useful rather than annoying. They are stronger than magnetic tape.... and not that much thicker. So.... I applied double-sided tape to the advertising side of the magnets & - with the magnetic side facing up - stuck them onto my cling stamp pages to hold the matching dies. From Universal Annoyance to useful craft organizing aid! Love-love-love your videos & look forward to each & every one!

Thank you so much the photo sheets are perfect. I have so many from my previous printer. I added photo sleeves that are divided in sections and the photo sheets work perfect for the small stamps. 🙏Amazing idea.

what a great idea! thanks a lot ! I just looked for an idea of storage for my stamp collection, and this is the solution ! Especially as I wanted to group my stamps by theme and not keep them in the original sheet. So now I can put for example all birds together, or all words, or all flowers and so on. It is so annoying to look for a "Happy Birthday" and having to go through the whole collection to find perhaps 3 different stamps on three different sheet. Now I put all "Happy Birthday" on 1 sheet ! The other advantage of this method is, that all sheet have the same size ! I also will follow your idea to store the original sheets as overall catalog, and I certainly will add copies of my wood stamps on matching paper to complete this catalog. Only thing I will change : I think it is better to slide the photopaper pages into clear sheet protectors, so the stamps cannot cling together..and will not get lost if falling down.

I didn’t read through all the other comments, but I have an additional idea that fits with this. It’s for all those stamps with a wooden block base. If we stamp them onto a sheet and keep all of those that fit within one shoebox on a sheet we could label the box and that page so we could find ‘the stamp we know we have but don’t want to hunt for’…. Lol

It's a great way of storing cling and acrylic stamps. I did mine like this a couple of months ago and I now use my stamps a lot more as the binders are on my desk where I make my videos. Definitely worth doing 😊💕

I had good luck using some laminated panels too. But the Photo Paper really works better for holding them. THE KEY is GLOSSY. finishes. You want the super glossy finish no matte or satin or frosted if it's lamination material. The photo paper trumps my lamination material though all I made are still in use. I slip these inside large clear envelopes with velcro tab closures. These are similar to the paper sleeves only bigger and will accept bulk nicely. But they are a full 8.5x11 inch envelope that have an outside multiple holed strip to connect with the binder rings like yours does. I'm glad I ran across your video again today. I watched it before maybe about a year ago. Anyway I was just fussing in my mind how to handle my BD gift to myself in Feb 78 individual stamps. These are multi sized from quarter page or 3x3 inches to many 4x4 size all the way up to half a page almost. I've divided the bulk of them into 10 sets that tell a story using your imagination. They do not have printed cling sheets only clear on both sides so I already was setting up to print each out. I never separated the preprinted cling sheets like you have and so will be using your idea to make a separate look and see and identify sheet like this. I'm going to scan my prints into my computer too. I'm leaning toward needing to reduce some of the larger size prints so I can fit into a card all the same page size. Originally i was going to use a huge heart steel rule die for pages but most of these stamps when they arrived are TOO BIG for the heart. I can scan them and reduce them and print them by laser to laminate/foil or just inkjet print and then die cut the pages around the reduced stamp. I'll have to use a template for the page size I will go with to insure they fit before printing out and cutting. Some of these ink style drawings are of animals, zebras, even a camel, bears, cute squirrel and birds. Also butterflies all would make good practice trial runs to work it all out. I knew I was ordering 78 dies I just had no idea how daunting this would be once they arrived. Don't want to put it off though. Thanks for your sharing this very well done video. So helpful. (PS if you have a lot of stamps people be prepared to go through a ton of double sided tape. I went through 5 huge Scotch super rolls of 1/4 inch wide tape. I was shocked now much I used to glue my laminated boards to chipboard and saved heavy duty card stock. I went through my entire supply. I also used half inch three ring soft sided binders. I recommend 1" because though it's nice to have multiple binders with insert cover sleeves so you can ID what's in each they fill up fast. Too fast. If you use similar with magnet sheets and metal dies be prepared for the note books getting very heavy. I was shocked how heavy they are. (I use large clear envelopes with velcro tabs that fit a full 8.5x11 inch page into them and like the paper sleeves shown here to hold the design prints these envelopes also have a prepunched hole strip to fit various ring binders. I make magnetic dies and also slip in four of my 7x5 inch magnetic envelopes that hold dies too into the same sheets. I love my dies and stamps stored in three ring binders. But turns out I've got more than I ever thought. So that's another thinking outside the box challenge to figure out. I encourage anyone who has trouble finding the die or stamp they are looking for to try these methods Vectoria shares here. I'm glad I ran across this again sort of a refresher just when I need it.

OMG! I'm so sad. I have more photo paper than I care to admit, however, I've already made a large investment in stamp & die binders BUT if I should need more storage space, I'm going to use your very smart hack. I use magnetic furnace vent sheets to store my dies in those binders (cut to the size I need) and you can glue/tape them onto cardstock or whatever you like which I do for my heavier dies.

A suggestion is to use a few 2-3? neodymium magnets, they are very strong and can be found in multiple sizes and thicknesses. You can try securing them to the page w your favorite: double stick tape! 😋. PS I LOVE the idea of using photo of paper!

Wow had no idea that photo paper could be used like this, lolol for the magnetic tape, you can also use magnetic vent covers. I know here in the states, you can purchase from Home Depot or hopefully amazon, since it's world wide. It works great and just glue down or double sided tape to the photo paper. thanks Tinne for the idea, love it💜

Did you also try sheets of thick acetate ie 2-3 mm? Also what about the laminating pocket stuff that comes also in A4? Someone did it with some sheets of plastic also 2mm. Photo paper is expensive no?
@vectoriadesigns2 жыл бұрын
Well, I haven't tried. And the reason for me was that I have tons of (cheap) photo paper that I don't use. And I only have a few acetate sheets that I want to use sparingly 😂. Also, acetate sheets are see-through so you would look upon the bare chipboard (of course, you can add scrapbook paper on top first). Great idea!

Vectoria, I’m pretty sure our “household” grade magnetic tapes, as well as the “Vent Covers” sold in hardware and big box lumber stores, are “sticky” in direct proportion to the THICKNESS of the product. Seems the stuff has to be thicker to be more effective.

What type of photo paper do you use? I am trying to make storage for my red rubber wood block stamps that I have converted into cling back stamps. However, I tried getting one of these foam back rubber stamps to stick to the photo paperI had and it would not stick. Have you had any luck with this method with the old stamps that have been removed rom wood blocks and had foam cling backing stuck to them?

FYI: I’ve tried this technique and found that, over time, my clear stamps leave a “grease spot” on the photo paper. I’ve not yet tried stamping with those stamps I found to have done so. But, admittedly, these are/were the cheat “chinese knock offs”, I’m sure.
@vectoriadesigns2 жыл бұрын
I think I already see those spots, but honestly, I don't care. That's personal of course.

@@vectoriadesigns Matters not to me, either. I was just wondering if - over time - the practice would make the stamp brittle. 🤔. Since most of us don’t use a stamp more than a half dozen times during the time we own it, I suppose it’s a mute point. Be well. 😉👍
