I got to see that machine in action when I went to their store recently. They checked the specs of a handful of RF V13s for me and sold me the spec I was looking for. Fancy settup

Dear Harry, I'm so sorry but you had to tie the cross string(Alu Power Rough) in 9H and 9T. Crosses have to be tied on crosses, especially when there is polyester on the crosses and natural gut on the mains. Check Roger's racquet!

This was fun! I would advise anyone to be careful with using too much acetone, it will take the finish off the actual racquet.

Can you do that with a standard PS97 (non signature) racquet?

Thanks for the awesome video. Just could you please say the model of the racket? Is it just the wilson pro staff rf or rfv13 ? 97? Because on amazon they are different models. Thanks

It’s the Wilson pro staff rf 97 v13.

may I ask sir if what is the DT of roger's string setup, I wanna compare it with full bed of poly. Naturally a full bed of polly is stiffer but correct me if im wrong, nat gut on main and poly cross maybe soften the bed of the setup... I want to try it on my ps classic that i bought for 1,500 pesos about 30$ (I dont have that money to buy dream PSRFA :/ racket )so that maybe I can experience my idol's racket... so yeah, tysm!

I have done at least three retail rf rackets this way but the balance is over 32. It is almost impossible to go to 31.5. I think wilson added too much weight in the head.

String a lings and power pads are great for increasing string longevity and dampening vibration, especially if you're using natural gut!
@williamdean9326
@williamdean9326 Жыл бұрын
The average Joe doesn't hit like Roger therefore they don't need string a lings. Power pads are used to increase power and reduce vibration.

@@williamdean9326 I use string a lings in my RF97 all the time to prevent the poly crosses from sawing through the natural gut mains. Power pads are used to dampen vibration, they have no effect on power!
@williamdean9326
@williamdean9326 Жыл бұрын
@@prophetmargin7497 yes they do increase power but most players can't tell the difference. I use a PS 85 and I can tell the difference when I have power pads and when I don't.

@@williamdean9326 I have them on my RF97 and all it does is lessen string vibration so I don't have to use a string dampener. Can you explain the physics behind how a piece of leather can add power to a racket?
@williamdean9326
@williamdean9326 Жыл бұрын
@@prophetmargin7497 the power pads lengthens the strings. Longer strings equals more power and a bigger sweet spot. Not only do I put them in the throat but also on the grommet outside of the throat for a total of 5 pads

begs the question, why would anyone watching want Fed’s specs? Does anyone watching even remotely play like Fed? Hm…

It wouldn’t matter. Due to QC variance, the initial specs of each racquet will not be the same, and individual customisation is needed to get exactly on RF’s spec. This video is an example of how a $7000 tuning machine is meaningless if the user hasn’t a clue.
@jerome_morrow

What were the initial specs of the unstrung Pro Staff? $7,000 tuning machine and still couldn’t get the customised specs spot on! 🤦‍♂️ You could get closer using the TWU customisation worksheet, and it’s free!
