same! i was in the musical “chicago” and they dropped confetti, which would get swept up every night and put back. my director posed all of us and i was posed to look straight up. one night i saw something flying towards my face, then heard it hit the ground next to me. it was a screw.🤠

We had this lady for Freya the ballet back stage tour recently.She was brilliant ,she is an ex dancer and so informative and enthusiastic as you can hear here .Thanks for this interesting insight ....watching at cinema tomorrow will now look with added interest at the snow ❤

I used to sing for a local choir and every year we were brought back to sing for the Nutcracker during this scene. My favourite part was when the snow started to fall in the Pit, and all those poor exposed musicians had to keep their composure until the intermission to brush it off of themselves. I really don't think I'll ever forget what notes to sing, for both parts, ever. Being in the Nutcracker meant everything to me for those four or five years I sang in it.

I sang in a production of the nutcracker for waltz of the snowflakes and while we were in the pit -even though we were not at all suposed to - we (the childrens choir) all would ever so slightly tilt our heads away from the conductor so our of the corner of our eyes we could see the snowflakes. We knew of course they werent real but with the lighting and everything it was sooo pretty. Genuinely one of the coolest things I've ever done.

When I was a professional musician the fake snow our Symphony used was plastic and close up looked exactly like sunburned skin flakes. It was pretty horrifying when we did holiday concerts and the nutcracker. My luthier always ended up having to suck a good quantity of it out of my violin every January when holiday gigs were over.

I did some drama performances in my college days. We used styrofoam for snows. I remember how the whole team everyday, break down used styrofoam for electronics into the tiny beads because of course we lacked funding so we needed to be creative. Good ol days! It was a success!
