That verse from Ecclesiastes about a cord of three has been on my mind for days. And then I see this video.

Thank you for your courage in sharing your relationship with us and showing us your communication, humour, respect and love for each other. It made me sad to realise that that door has now closed for me, but I am happy that there is such a joy in a shared life. May God bless you both.

You two are so funny 😂🤣. I loved the triangle and the little quote underneath. What a perfect marriage gift that would be for my daughter and Bobby when they get married in October so I’ll get one made for them to remind them of what’s important, especially as they have now started going to church….Now I need to get my husband on board - I made him watch your video and asked him if he’d like to start going to church. He said “here’s a better idea, you go and tell me what it’s like” 🤦♀️. On the plus side he can see the value in everything you’ve said and said he’s looking forward to having a wife like you Norann lol. He wishes! Thanks for the great advice you lovely people. Live, Laugh, Love, Friendship can be my thought for the day tomorrow 😄💕. Have a great week. Much love 💗

Thank you, dear Gillian. Love the idea for a wedding gift. As we all try to grow closer to the Source of our strength, it can be helpful to remember that (as far as we know) Jesus didn't spend much time in 'church' either. He was among his people, leading them by his example of service and love. We gain much thru fellowship and teaching, such as a church can provide. But a person can feel the touch of God's love without ever stepping foot in a building, however sacred that space may be. So we wish you a ton of courage and joy to love and serve your family right where they and you are. Praying for you and wishing you a most happy Wednesday (ours was great!). Norann

Yes! Thank you! We have that very book, 'Present over Perfect,' by Shauna Niequist on the living room bookshelf (and have read it too 😇)

Thanks guys. One thing we learnt earlier in our marriage is not to talk about serious or contentious issues late at night. Like you two, one of us is a night owl and one not.

Wise. Very wise. Things always look better in the light of day, we find. Also: 'Sufficient unto the day are the evils thereof...'

Me too! I hate mornings with a passion but come 10pm and it’s like ‘Ping’ and I’m in the wide awake club. If I was a Hindu I’d say I was definitely an owl or other nocturnal animal in a past life - and probably a fish too as I’m happiest by water. I have a lovely friend who is from a Hindu family. She tells me all sorts of things from her belief system. I recognise its different to Christianity but there are many similarities too in terms of how to be kind and thoughtful always and to say prayers daily. I’ve been telling her about the Bruderhof and she loves the Called to Community idea. Like me she’d never heard of the Bruderhof, I’ve come to the conclusion God didn’t give me a big mouth for nothing - I feel like you’ve climbed into my head and turned the light on… and it’s something I want to share. Much love

Norann, what bad habit does Chris have that annoys you but you love him anyway despite it? ;-) Hope you guys are doing well & the kids of course! Ttyl

Why limit it to just one, Michael? (Chris here) 😄 But since you asked... Norann says: I'm a lark, he's an owl. So our morning habits are very different - I'm an early riser, and can't wait to be up and at 'em. Chris not so much. Early in our marriage, I let this be a source of frustration. Now, rather than make it an 'I'll alter him" issue, I choose to celebrate the fact that for the rest of the day (once he's fully awake!) Chris is the best husband, friend, and father for our sons that I could wish for. #loveistheanswer
