Please Lord, give me the faith, devotion and strength to finally cut bitterness, unforgiving cynicism, vulgar speech, tobacco, herbal drugs, alcohol, masturbation and pornography out of my life. You know that I've been trying and failing on and off for almost a year now, and in some areas I've been doing better than others. There's so much temptation for Your young children, like me. I want to devote my life to You and raise up works to glorify YOU, regardless. I'm leaving the Netherlands to visit France for a week. I intend to get rid of everything to do with smoking before I leave, not smoke anything while I'm over there in a new environment, and keep at it when I get back. Jesus will strengthen me and the Holy Spirit will fill me if I pray and involve God into this struggle, and intend to see it through for His glory. Pray for me brothers and sisters. God bless you all, and God bless you David. Your works and passion testify to the Lord's wisdom and ultimate power.

What’s totally impossible for you and me is completely possible for our God. He can free you from every single thing to which you are bound. He needs your whole heart though. I just wanted to say I watch every single video of yours I can't tell you how precious you are to me everything you say resonates with me and I learned so much from you and I'm so grateful for your videos and the knowledge that you give me about the Lord and sometimes it's too much to take at the moment because then once you know there's no unknowing it LOL so the only option is to then correct it and that is the hard part but it is worth every ounce of effort because He is SOOOOO WORTH IT!!!!! Romans 8 1-2 these scriptures are the answer for overcoming sin. you can pray until your blue in the face, you can read your bible daily for a year, you can go to church more, you can get baptized, you can quote scripture, you can do all of these things, and you should do these things because they are good to do, but, they will not free you from the bondage of sin. why not? because works cannot eliminate sin...only Faith. well what does this mean? i describe it this way, you're a boxer who wants to do right, but you keep getting into the ring with Mike Tyson aka the sin nature. and you keep getting hit. the problem is, that you are not stronger than the sin nature, so he keeps defeating you. so you have to get yourself out of the fight and let the holy spirit get in the ring. now the question is, how do i get out and let him in....by faith. remember that the holy spirit only has the freedom to work in your life by faith. this means that he has to have permission to fight for you. so you must place your faith in the fact that jesus died for you, and this gives the holy spirit the freedom and right to control the sin nature. the sin doesnt go away at conversion, but it should not be in control of a christian. so romans shows us that there are 2 powerful laws at work, one is the law of sin and death, the other is the law of the spirit of life. the sin nature vs the holy spirit. it goes on to say that the spirit law is more powerful than the other law. so that is the key to victory. we lose when we fight the sin nature in our flesh, ie will power etc....we win when we place our faith in christ and this allows the spirit to operate freely in our lives, giving us the victory over sin. there are no 5 steps etc to free you, its simply faith in christ and then the holy spirit has permission to operate in your life. simply put, the sin nature is stronger than you, so you will need something more powerful than it, the holy spirit. and the only way he will operate on your behalf is that you must place your faith in christ crucified, this gives him the freedom to operate. doing works will frustrate the holy spirit, which is why i listed them earlier. they are good things, and we should do them, but, we must understand that they do not give us freedom over sin, only the holy spirit can do that. and dont get frustrated when it takes a while, bc we are pretty stubborn. thank god for his long suffering. i learned this from Loren Larson hes a preacher. i hope this helps someone.

I got rid off my fleshly sinful desires as I got baptised in Jesus name. I got reborn in Jesus who is pure and holy without sin. I do not live in my flesh, I do live in the Spirit of Jesus and thus are not able to sin as long as I walk in his Spirit. Galather 5, 16: "This I say then, Walk in the Spirit and you will not fulfil the lust of the flesh."

This is not just theory to me, it is life. Before I got baptise, my heart was broken and deeply damaged. My body started to have a great sinful desire, it was like a force over me I could not get rid off. And because of that I could not resist to watch p*rn but I did not wanted to. I was not able to resist temptations because I was under the power of sin (Romans 7). God showed me the solution, he told me I should get baptised in Jesus name and as I was baptised in Jesus name the power of sin was no more and the strong fleshy sinful desire was gone (Romans 6). I was able to not sin and still are able to resist all temptations as long as I walk in the Spirit (Romans 8). After some time I started to sin again because my flesh was awakened and I did not know why and ask God why. He showed me I need to believe that I am 100% pure in Jesus. I believed that because Jesus told his disciples they are already pure because of the words he spoke to them as he washed their feet. And after that God showed me I have to Walk in the Spirit by listen to obey the Holy Spirit. As I did that I again was free of the fleshly desires and could resist all temptations so I did not watched p*rn anymore. But after some time I have played a videogame the Holy Spirit showed me I should not play. And thus I did not walked in the spirit anymore and was not able to resist temptations again. So I watched p*rn again if I got tempted even a litte. But as I gave up the game and ask for forgiveness I then walked in the Spirit again and thus my body was made alive again so I do not have to sin anymore and are able to resist all temptations. It is all by grace not by works. "But if we confess our sins, he is trustworthy and right so that he can forgive us our sins and make us clean from all that is not right in us." = 1 John 9 It is true the Holy Spirit makes our bodies alive if we walk in the Spirit. If your flesh, meaning your emotions, thoughts or feelings, wants you to do something that is against God's Word, against something the Holy Spirit already showed you, then you should not listen to those evil spirits or you will stop walking in the Spirit and thus do something that is against God. You then will not be able to resist temptations anymore as long as you don't repent and ask for forgivenes (confess your sin). Romans 6, 4 -12: "4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 6 knowing this, that our old man [with our old sinful nature] is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7 For he that is dead is freed from sin. 8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: 9 knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. 10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. 11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. 12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. "

I want to be a good child of JESUS from my whole heart. I don't want to be a sinner. I want to avoid social media but I don't know how to. Please pray for me and help me overcome my guilt. AMEN❤

That's such a great video... about a month ago I started doing this silly childish thing. This has helped me to keep my mind on God and distracts me from sin and it may help you too. I would say "Thank you God , 1 time" then figuring God is worthy of infinite Thanks. I said " Thank you Lord 2 times" I just continued each day when I think about it. Today I am up to 4100 times. I can get 100 to 200 times of thanking or praising God on my way driving to work. I just start where I left off and then after a few I just feel like smiling and I feel joy in my heart. I realized that I would never run out of numbers and I can continue even after I leave this world and go to heaven. It keeps me busy and out of trouble and keeps my mind on Him!!! Jesus is so wonderful!!!!!

The Holy Spirit doesn't help you to be Holy! He gives you everything you need. He loves you perfectly, he accepts you perfectly, he allows you to see his very heart. He is able to do this because he doesn't hold your sins against you because of what Jesus accomplished for you on the cross. This guy has no idea what the new covenant is. As a born again believer rest in what your God has given to you and grow to know who your God truly is

I go to multiple churches. one says gambling is a sin, the other has church raffles. They dont think gambling is a sin, how do I know which church to listen to?
