As an art student, what I love about art is that the term is fluid and maleable. It escapes definition and can mean different things to different people. Some may only call that art which has been made by hand and pleases the eye. Others may say that skill doesn't matter and what's important is the message. Again others may say that as long as it makes you feel something, it is art. That's how the art world is so beautifully diverse, everyone can decide for themselves what art means to them and whether they want to describe themselves as an artist. Sorry for writing a whole essay in your comments haha, I just find the whole discussion around the definition of art endlessly fascinating 😅

Janice το γεγονός ότι προσπαθείς να δώσεις μία φιλοσοφική απάντηση, τεχνίτης ή καλλιτέχνης?Από εμένα αυτό θα έχει μια απάντηση. Για να είμαι καλλιτέχνης πρέπει να είμαι και καλός τεχνίτης. Η κεραμική γεννήθηκε από την βασική ανάγκη της διατροφής σε αυτό το στάδιο έχουμε τεχνίτες που φτιάχνουν αντικείμενα που μαγειρεύουν ή διατηρούν τροφές,σταδιακά κάποιος τεχνίτης έφτιαξε ένα ειδώλιο ένα άχρηστο αντικείμενο για βασική ανάγκη αλλά για μία ψυχική ανάγκη. Ο τεχνίτης που ξέφυγε από στερεότυπα έγινε καλλιτέχνης. Για να μην σε κουράζω άλλο, κανένας τεχνίτης δεν θα έκανε ένα βάζο με λεπτά φύλλα σαν λουλούδι στην κορυφή. Εσείς Janice το κάνετε. Άρα είστε... καλλιτέχνης. Ευχές για υγεία Kleanthis from Greece 🏺
