My Ex broke up with me in February. Two Weeks ago, we met up and she wanted to know what has changed since the break up because she said she „sensed“ it. I was working hard on me and my past traumas, attachment style with therapy and the workbooks. She was really blown away by my changes. BUT since then she didn’t reach out to me so I went back into NC and it is really hard because I love her so much. I really think our relationship could be so much better now. For what I’ve learned my long time ex is, we as people have to learned people’s behaviors during the breakup, that will open the door wherever they are coming back or not, what does that tells is there mental behavior, is they have any issues, like BPD traits narcissistic etc, if they line up someone or looking for attention is likely they suffer BPD traits, this doesn’t mean they are fully BPD, many people have issues, we forget this things because we want them back, so we can fix our ego, good luck everyone it’s not easy going no contact but it’s one of the best options.

My ex of 7 years came back after 2.5 years out of the blue. I cut him off cold turkey after I felt in my gut he was cheating on me. A week later I found out he was. The evidence fell into my lap. I blocked him on everything and I never yelled or called him names. 2 years later he messaged me from an unknown number and I didn’t know it was him. He kept messaging me but I thought it was spam. He kept saying ‘Good morning or Good night beautiful’ for months!! 5 months later I finally decided to ask who is this? He revealed it was him. We reconnected. He chased and apologized for about 3 months and became the man I wanted. We got back together and we are happier than ever (I hope I can speak on his behalf). We are taking things slow. But have been planning to get married and move in together in 2 to 3 years. All of this to say- don’t give up. Forget them. They will come back on their time. When they do, you may not even want them. No contact isn’t about getting your ex back- it’s about working on yourself and healing your heart and your mental health. It’s about respecting yourself and setting boundaries. It’s all about you getting stronger and realizing your self worth 💪🏽 I can assure you if you never beg them and you were a great person- they are thinking about you. It takes 7 years to forget about someone completely - even if they are in a relationship. Stay the course!! 🙌🏾

I moved away, cut off contact, didn’t look back. But I think about her often which is a step up from thinking about her all day everyday. I don’t expect her to come back as she is a fearful avoidant. YES. I am an avoidant person, and it feels REALLY bad. Worse if I get dumped, but still. A lot of times, avoidants like me will break up with someone and then try to take it back right afterward. No way to tell how long it'll take though. Depends on how much of a nervous type person they were in general. I am an avoidant, but partially this is a result of major anxiety.

I was dumped a couple years ago by an avoidant girlfriend. I focused on myself and had no contact - I didn't know no contact was a strategy, but I figured whoever she started dating would end after a few months. So I reached out 4 months later and she was happy to hear from me and met me the next day, which then went on for another 18 months! So I guess I broke the no contact rule, but maybe you have to reach out if she is an avoidant type and more likely to keep to themselves?

I went no contact. He blocked me on everything except Snapchat. I never looked at his story but he looked at mine anytime I would post one. Normally I would only put one or two in a week. Anyway, I went to dinner with my family and snapped a picture of my salad. As soon as I got home he called. I let it go to voicemail because I was still getting in the door and initially I was panicking. I called him back and he said that he saw that I have moved on from my snap of my salad. I let him know I was with my family. He said he didn’t believe me. He sat on the phone and didn’t talk I tried to make conversation and after just silence he said he was going to bed and he said I will talk to you later. That was 3 days ago. Was he just baiting me or was he jealous and then when he found out I was with family he is going to string me alone longer?

oof my ex has showed none of these signs lol. the first month and a half of the breakup he used to always reach out about insignificant things and now he doesn’t even do that, I’m on day 5 of my new no contact period and he hasn’t reached out at all. all he does is view my stories occasionally but he seems fine without me. Pianopaceman I've been in no contact for five months now. It's tough, because we work in the same place,so I do see him, but I do my best to politely avoid him. I never initiate conversation, but he has very quietly said good morning to me a few times. I reply, but not with any more emotion than he puts forward. The last time I answered with a very non-committal " 'sup?". Lol He is seeing someone new...at work. I don't think she knows that we were ever together, and certainly doesn't know it was twelve years. As for your girl, give her some time. This describes me. I suffer from attachment trauma. After the initial breakup we did get back together for a while and seemed to be making great progress. Then all of a sudden she started blowing me off or calling and start pushing all the rt buttons to upset me to start a fight just to get out of spending time with me. Then a couple days later she wanted to talk again and made it all my fault. Yet it's funny how after blowing me off for our time together suddenly she's out all night. She now says it's over for good and have basically gone into no contact. Another thing I follow similar to your said she was just using this time to wean herself off me slowly. Also I know she is under a lot of outside pressure just to move on. Do you think there is any hope or do I just give up ? Also how can I get her out of my head ? Hey coach Craig my ex boyfriend cheated on me. He only told me because he had an std. He claimed this was from someone he met one time in a club (but I suspect it was a fling). I was shocked and broke up with him immediately. In the lead up to the breakup we had a few arguments and he was particularly cruel about me putting on a little weight (in response to a mild depression) where he was so loving and kind and filled me with confidence before. I now suspect it’s because he was comparing me to another woman. I walked away from him as I was so shocked and angry and he wasn’t really giving me any answers at all. In hindsight I think it’s because he was lying about how he had contracted the std. The next day he was upset saying he wanted to cry because he messed us up. I agreed and was very strong about not wanting him back, telling him to delete my number. However over the next week I craved nothing more than to speak to him and actually have a discussion about it all to make sense of everything as I had been completely blindsided by his revelation. We broke up 7weeks ago and I went into no contact 6weeks ago. Sending him a nice text so he wouldn’t have to feel awkward to speak to me again. I have heard nothing since from him. However he has watched every single one of my what’s app statuses and still does! (He doesn’t have other social media). What do you think this means? We had a very intense loving relationship and I think stress and money issues put a strain on us, but communication was always a major strong point for us. My mums friend is psychic and picked up on everything. She said he had started seeing this other girl while with me and believes he is in contact with her. He still loves me and doesn’t know what to do and is trying to choose between us. And also he has a lot of stress in his personal life (which is true) But I literally have heard NOTHING from him in 6weeks. In the week after our breakup I kept trying to speak to him and went a little crazy one particular day calling him loads! and he didn’t want to talk at all and kept rejecting me saying he doesn’t want to talk right now, can’t face me or what he’s done and needs “space.” I’ve respected that and went into no contact but I didn’t think it would be this long. I’ve been working solidly on myself during the last 6weeks of no contact and learned to love myself more.
