The problem is the cost of the life insurance will eventually eats up the entire cash account. Plus you borrow the money, you don't withdraw. You have to pay interest on that loan and if you don't, they take it out of the death benefit.

When take out money tax-free, you own an interest to the money you borrowed which is 5% or more depending on the policy, the borrowed money and interest would continued incur new interest? How should we look at this?

Very interesting, I've never heard any of it before . I've had a 100 thousand whole insurance policy for ever for 30 dlls a mo. I have no health or financial issues BUT I find this info very complicated .

You are not having in consideration 2 points. 1 the fees and the life insurance cost yearly . 2 if you get money from your cash value, you have to return it as a loan and with interest

So if it was a $1 million would i have to put $100,000 in for 10 years? Or does the maximum you can put in increase? I’m a single 24 year old male coming into $2 million but with what I learned today about life insurance I don’t have anyone such as a wife or kids depending on me so I guess I wouldn’t qualify

Hey Jake, as far as qualifying, not necessarily. If you have an inheritance of $2 million, there's an insurable interest there. I have spoken to two different financial advisors and they have both indicated that New York State is a difficult location for an IUL. Alternately they have suggested forms of an annuity. Not sure I understand why though can someone explain.

Even for people with dependents most people's dependents would be affected that massively to the tune of $500,000. But I don't have kids and I just bought your books now I realize I have wasted my money because I don't have any kids so I'm not going to be able to qualify for this even.
