Back in the day (Before Bendy-beads) we'd use a scrap of plasterboard, cut appropriate sized hole with string - Stanley & nail - Dab/Pin the template in place making sure reveal margin was accurate - smear plasterboard edge with a little grease/margarine then Float & Skim/skim the circular reveal - when gone off - tap gently to release - Nice hard edge to plaster to - Perfection every time 👍😎

Oh you naughty boy, have you forgotten how to join beads, here's a reminder, take a clout nail, cut the head off to the desired length, IE this one's for a circular bead, then insert it into the angel of the bead, you will see there is enough space in there to slot it in, also don't forget when cutting an overlap to use a Stanley knife to get the perfect cut....don't forget you can use the nail in the joint with lengths of over three meter to get the perfect finish, this is how we where taught,. I'm an old fart now so I suppose things can be forgotten, liked your video on using a paint roller....thanks for all your hard work.....

Thanks for the videos. I just plastered for the first time ever today (an archway in my house)… these videos look like you have an endless amount of time to work with your plaster. Here in America, the us gypsum finish plaster out of the bag only has a 30 minute working time. Do you have recommendations on retarding the mix? Add borax or anything?

The plasterer that did the original job left you a very good internal edge to work from to your new bead. That's the real story here. I cut a small piece of plastic to create an even edge from window. Let dry and use as an internal bead if one can't be fitted whilst rendering.

Blaine, long time lurker and wannabe plasterer. I've sent you an email with some photos (subscribed to your course). I have a curved ceiling under the stairs I need to plaster, angles come from two different directions. Do you have any pro tips?

Always see people using a staple gun and going to get one, but do they have to be special staples/tacks. Don't they rust?
