Back in the VHS days they had videos called " Learn To Burn " . Curt Mitchell would show you how to play like Eddie Van Halen , Stevie Ray Vaughn , Metallica etc. This is soooo much better than that ever was !! We have the REAL artist who wrote and recorded the music giving step by step demonstrations . Also , the industry never put out guitar tab books of DELIVERANCE . So what you are doing here means ALOT to us true fans . Thanks for sharing the depths of your art . God bless you Jimmy .

Awww dude SICK! I'm just getting into guitar after playing bass for about 5 years, then nothing for about 10. There's a couple tracks that have stuck with me since I was a kid that I can't find decent tabs for, and this is one of them. Absolutely one of my favorite riffs/songs of all time! Unbelievably stoked to find this lesson. Trying not to swear on your page, but dude, my face is lit up like a Christmas tree right now! THANK YOU 🤘🔥🤘

Thanks for watching and for the kind words! Switching from bass to guitar, that will be fun! Hope any insights I can provide will help! And you can be yourself here!!! 😀

@@JimmyPBrownII Dang, made my day twice! Already dug into those first two riffs, and while that one fill is a bit out of my league speed wise, I'm at least getting the pattern down. Now that I'm learning it, I think I understand why it's stuck with me after all these years. There's something that's just a little "off" in those rhythms and timing. Not in a sloppy way, but in a way that seems to force my attention to it. It's low-key brilliant. Good to see you're still around and kicking man, and thanks for the positivity. 🤘🔥🤘

You've always been an awesome, very underrated rhythm player and riff writer Jimmy. SoE is loaded with amazing, super catching riffs. I also love how on that album, even though you were moving away from the speed/thrash metal, you ended it with one of the fastest, most brutal songs Deliverance has ever done with Entombed. Heh.

There were parts I didn’t hear (probably because of all the other instruments/production) but like a painting, it all adds color to the picture. But all the one-offs...geez. Lol.

Hey Jim, Trent. That bridge has Warrior Fighting For the Earth type chords. Not the exact chords, but same style. Brought me back to 1985. Good memories. Are you guys looking to play on So Cal. anytime soon?
